1. When asked is Saban may at some point have the itch return to the NFL, Jimmy Sexton delivered an emphatic "no" almost before the questioner got all the words out of his mouth.

2. Kirby Smart spoke of how he and his wife enjoyed being able to stay in Tuscaloosa for several years after having had 6 jobs in 8 years, or whatever it is. He said that he is in absolutely no hurry to leave...has to be the combination of right job, right place, right time. He spoke with great affection about Coach Moore and how special it made him and his wife feel when, at the time Kirby was considering going back to Athens, Coach Moore came to their home and went to great lengths to let him Kirby know how much he was appreciated, and then made it financially rewarding for him to do so.

3. Chance Warmack, when asked, said that his favorite place to eat in Tuscaloosa is Jack's.

Warmack

Jack's is also across the street from the practice fields. Not a long walk.

I wanted so bad to go but my boy had a little league game during Kirby's time slot... Any other snippets from Kirby or Chance?

I know this from knowing someone close to him that Smart has no intention of leaving anytime soon unless he gets a big HC job like Muschamp at UF.

Kirby said, when asked, that we had two or three incoming freshmen who were not yet qualified, but they were expected to. Chance was interviewed by former Titan and now Nashville radio personality Brad Hopkins, himself a former first round pick when the Titans were ion Houston. Hopkins is very articulate and very funny, so it was a pretty entertaining interview.

Here's how good it was...I went to hear Sexton, Smart, Chipper Jones, and Warmack. The one I was least looking forward to hearing was Chipper, and I've been a huge Chipper fan his whole career. Except for the Chipper interview, the entire four hours was basically an infomercial for Alabama football. Not completely...Sexton talked about getting started in the business through a relationship with Reggie White and his first coaching client, Tommy Tuberville.

Smart talked about how he used to dog Chance during stretches in practice...'We're coming after you today, Warmack!" Never even a smile from Warmack. Totally serious. Since we run the 3-4, the guards are always uncovered. Kirby said that at some point a huge manchild like Dont'a would finally say something like, "get him off of me Coach, I don't want no more of that." No doubt Warmack and Hightower did as much to help each other get to the NFL as anyone else did.

I was amazed at how few people were there. You could have sat on the front row each session and asked any question you wanted. I don't live in Nashville but had by chance seen a billboard with the Chipper Jones promo the day before in the Hickory Hollow area. I didn't even know Sexton, Smart, and Warmack would be there until I checked the website.

James Franklin was the speaker after Warmack, but I didn't stay. No doubt he would have been good also. And I caught the tail end of Derek Anderon's interview before Sexton...he was also good and has a great story.

My brother and I would hear the jingle on their ads on the Cousin Cliff show when we were kids. We would change it to "Jacks hamburgers for 15 cents are so bad, bad, bad. You'll go back, back back, to Jack's, Jack's, Jack's, to get your money back!"

Thanks for that! I live in Clarksville and listen to 102.5 and it slipped up on me. Like I said, a little league game kept me from going anyways, but once I realized who was going to be there, I really wanted to go. You cannot beat $5 to get in the door.

Chance will be as disappointed as I am that there are no Jack's in Nashville. I know that feel bro.

You're welcome. Agreed...at $5 it was a steal. Cost just as much for the two of us to park. Lots of sponsors and vendors. The Major League Bowhunters show footed the bill for Chipper.
