I don't understand the "politics" thing. I've heard that used several times to explain his absence, and I don't understand it.
Did Thomas have some sort of Barry Bonds type relationship with the media, or whoever votes for this, or is Bennett and others suggesting its because DT isn't there to grease palms, etc.?

Title made me think this was something to do with Chick-fil-a.
And yeah, I don't get the politics thing either. Not sure who he crossed, but it's beyond stupid for him not to be in by now.
