At this point with him visiting Auburn last I am going to say Auburn. I think he thinks there will be too much competition at UGA and USC.

If I were betting on it, I would say UGA. It was UGA all the way until a few weeks ago, then he said USC and UGA were 50/50. Now Auburn is in the picture.
So what this means to me is he's added yet another school to his favorites list, and when that usually happens, the smart money is on the team that's been the favorite the longest.
Still, if he chose USC, I would be happy and make some money of the "My Cock is ChubB" t shirts.

Chubby Cock ... it's a natural.
Seriously though, here's the thing. We're taking one RB this class, if that, and that's all. I'm not even sure we're going to take one because getting a commit from Chubb on the 28th is too iffy.
We really want Derrell Scott, the #1 APB in the country - but I just think if we do not get him then I doubt we take a RB this year. We're low on schollies and we have no senior RBs on the roster.

Not sure a spread is the best fit for his running style. Hmmmmm.

Not sure if UF is really a strong player for Chubb's services-spread or no spread. I think the general consensus on all sites are that he will end up committing to UGA in May. Will that stay that way until Feb.? That is up for discussion, however in the meantime, here are 24/7 Crystal Ball projections on Chubb. (Including Gator and Gamecock contributors.)

I don't really see him fitting into Gus' system at Auburn all the well.
In the end, I think he still ends up at UGA. Family, coaches, and girlfriend are pro-UGA (stay out of this, Ole Miss), and we're his childhood favorites.

Don't want any athletes on Auburn campus anymore with the last name Chubb.

Lol did I say UF was a player for him?

Apologies sir. I thought that was what you were implying.

Well if he went to CHS he's already a bulldog, so I like our chances.
I'm actually heading that way this weekend so I'll be sure and stuff some cash and UGA related stuff in his mailbox.

My point 02 is he picks UGA but don't rule out Auburn if he indeed comes to Big Cat Weekend. Auburn had a 40% success rate of BCW attendees to signees before last season. As for the Chubb not fitting into Gus's spread there is some misconceptions. Gus's O is not a spread, at least not the finesse style ala the Oregon Spread. Gus has a power element ala Ben Tate and Michael Dyer plus a speed element ala Felix Jones and Onterio McCalebb. If Chubb has the conditioning he would do well in Gus's offense.

That's a really great point. Who will be y'alls McCalebb this year?

quote:Cory Grant is expected to. The other true speed option is Freshman Jonathan Ford. Even though Tre does not have their raw speed he does well in space. I could seem him doing some work in that role if Cameron Artis-Payne can do what he is capable of between the tackles.

UGA in a landslide. He's been UGA since he was born.
