Being bama nation brought up that he was the best in the SEC/country.

How much PT would he have received in '12 if deandrew white was never injured? White started the first five games and had all of eight receptions. It's not like he was setting the world on fire. Yet he was still ahead of cooper.

If white makes it through the season. How does cooper's season turn out?

From what I understand White was about to lose the starting job to Coop anyways.

He would have gotten lots of PT regardless. Can't keep that guy off the field.

Why does it matter? Don't they have like 18 other receivers that run a sub 4.5 and present matchup problems with any defense here and yon?

Good question. Honestly, he probably plays a good bit less. At some point he would have separated himself from the more experienced pack of receivers but it probably would have taken longer.

He took full advantage of an opportunity. It's all any of us could do.

I think everyone (who is not biased) recognizes him as the best WR in the SEC now (probably 2nd best in country).

Saban had been fapping about Cooper since fall camp. It was only a matter of time before he jacked someone's spot. DeAndrew just made the process easier.

Cooper is a rare breed. No doubt about that.

BEST is a relative term. He is without a doubt one of the top three in the SEC. Vandy and a&m each have their own they think is pretty special.

Watkins. That dude is really good but we saw after last season that he is not top 2.

Right now I don't see either one of them getting that many more touches than the other. That could change once the season starts and either one really gets off to an amazing start.

Hilliard will get his, just not as much.

Remember this name though, Terrance Magee. He's just another RB on the roster right now but, he is showing out in practice.

Chris Black was right up there before his shoulder injury. He may become as good or better than coop.

Cooper was able to learn the offense and is a smart kid. He was gonna be playing a lot by the end of the year no matter what.

Saban praised him early and often befor the season started last year.

Christan Jones would be playing defense if Bama had these guys a couple years ago and he's a solid receiver.

Amari was already playing more than and had better stats than White when he was injured. The top player is not always the "starter" for Saban.

remember the seccg when Amari Cooper went up for a jump ball against Georgia's "all world" DB. Wasn't that beautiful? Or how he burned Georgia's defense for the game winner.

Yeah it's old school, but check out a guy named Wally Pipp.

Ol' Wally had to sit out and let a guy named Lou Gehrig take his spot one day for the New York Yankees.

Hell no.....if you think Da'rick is better than Amari...you're blind and dumb.

I've read the bama blogs and I'm tellin' ya, he dies returning a punt. Just drops down dead. Sure, he catches it, makes a great move, but then he just collapses - dead. No pulse, nothing.

RIP amairi cooper
