....or for others in the know.

(Graphic A)

(Graphic B)

What exactly is the difference between a Carolina fan and a Clemson fan?

I have my own hypothesis formed through personal experience and represented in the graphics above, but I'd like to compare it to other theories......

In Georgia or Tennessee or Florida etc..... even if people aren't wearing their colors, brands or symbols, I can usually pick out their affiliation just by observing their mannerisms and other assorted sublteties, but the state of South Carolina is a little more tricky.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kinda like the difference between Somalis and Ethiopians... I could sit here and explain the difference, but at the end of the day, it does not really matter....

I agree with Peter Buck.
The Salt Life stickers on Dodge Neons when the driver has never wet a line in the ocean get on my nerves. Normally Clemson fans will have a truck with.....unlimited stickers. Ducks, bucks, turkey or squirrel. I mean I am a trout unlimited member but I don't fly the flags on my car like both clemson and shamecock fans.
They are a million Yeti stickers on cars too when probably 10% of the people own one of those $500 coolers.

I hope we whip the shite out of both of those teams this year. Play it like 2003!

I'm no longer embedded but I did do a 3 year stretch in the yuppie part of Charleston.

The Carolina fans generally have nicer things than the Clemson fans. Top of the line truck and a Salt Life sticker along with the Palmetto sticker, probably a Carolina fan.

both fanbases will be on meltdown if they lose to Georgia. I'm sure the same can be said for us

The window and bumper sticker syndrome is something I've done much serious reflection on. And I agree......

The state of South Carolina is the most afflicted when it comes to this category.

Side-note: Yeti stickers, Squirrel Unlimited, Salt Life, IPTAY, "Join CCA", etc, etc stickers reveal a lot. But, I reserve my hatred for these two categories.......

1) Jamband hippie stickers where they take a brand name product and switch it around to a jamband inside joke like this one......

2) And this one.......

Also, how about the one that tells you "Don't ever EVER shake a baby!!!!!!!" ? I mean, are there people out there that were about to shake a baby, but then reconsidered...... because they remembered reading the bumper sticker???

It's so cool to hate phish but say Justin Timberlake "isn't actually that bad, he's actually a pretty talented musician and stuff"

So you can suck my fricking dick, you fricking ****.

Other than putting a phish sticker on the car your parents bought you, there's only one possible way to become more of a WHITE, vapid, shitty-instincts-having goon…………….

That would be…………..to dump a can of talcum powder on your head.

Phish is better than your favorite band.

Very true...I never noticed that. For some reason, there also seems to be a slight air of intellectual superiority that Clemson fans oooze over SC fans. Not sure why...but its there.

Let me bring you up to speed then......

Imagine going to the hardware store and buying an oil funnel. Then.....jam the narrow end of the funnel into your ear...... and have some pale self-absorbed jewish guys take turns diarrheaing into the funnel while singing nursery rhyme lyrics.

It's actually worse than that, but close enough to give you an idea.

represented in the graphics above,

The big differences stem from the history of the school. clemson is involved in agriculture and farming studies, USC is more involved in business studies. The types of fans follow that today, but of coarse there is crossover as well. I know people that work in agriculture who are USC fans and I know lawyers who are clemson fans...although those lawyers had to go to USC for law school.

Clemson is considered a much better school overall.

No, no it's not.

"For instance, in 2009, Clemson University staff members brought to light several methods of rankings manipulation, including increasing the number of small classes (while also enlarging already massive ones), and increasing the size of the alumni donor network through small, insignificant donations."
