Is it really true that Texas A&M has a pet cemetery on campus?

Someone told me that Texas has a cemetery on campus where they bury their old collies and show them football scores to keep their spirits from becoming angry and ravaging the campus.

That shite is absolutely true.....and those sumbitches come back to life at night during Halloween and go out and kill young coeds.
ETA I'm not saying that they don't have some type of burial facility for their dogs.....but geez.

The dogs are buried outside Kyle Field. There is a scoreboard in front of their graves.
Never understood why this bothers people.

So it is true that the scoreboard is to keep their spirits from becoming restless and ravaging the campus.

Oklahoma did the same thing with their first mascot. I love pointing this out to Sooners. They look super confused.

This isn't Big Ben. It is just so they can see the score.

It's always rattled off in the list of our "weird" traditions.
Just don't know why it's perceived that way.

Agreed. Just like the grass outside a memorial. Why is it so weird that you aren't supposed to trample a memorial? Especially one for fallen soldiers? Never got why that was weird.

Meh......you have to bury the dogs somewhere. It would be weird if you burned them all or something like that

We have our Ugas buried at Sanford Stadium. This isn't big news.
