Sounds like even Murray thinks it was a legal hit.

It looked bad live and in slow motion. The SEC officials said it should have been a call. Dial didn't necessary lead with his helmet, but the helmets made contact which should be enough.
It was a missed call during the game, but I do not think he should be suspended.

I'm glad he is fine. Knowing that, I'm also glad that the hit happened so that LSU fans will have something new to bitch about for the next few months.

Fine throw the penalty and I am not defending the hit however what I am curious of is if this is deemed a block is there helmet to helmet rule in effect because you see guys get blindsided all the time with helmet to helmet on up punt returns and what not and it is not called. If the only difference is because this was a qb then I don't see how it can be called.

I think the point that he is trying to make is getting the breath knocked out of you is typically the result of force below the head.
