Great SEC Title. Alabama made the play at the end to WIN it, UGA didn't choke. That being said, Alabama didn't have nearly as many penalties (not arguing fairness here), still had over 100 yards more offense, more first downs, absolutely dominated the time of possession, and arguably the overall more talented roster. Yet it stil came down to the very last play, which could have gone either way.

I know criticizing Bama for anything makes you "butthurt" on this board, so I may be spinning my wheels here. But I feel Alabama was a little predictable and easier to game plan for this year than in the past. Predictability doesn't equal winning for the other team, Alabama proved that in all but one game (and could have been all 13). But I can't help but think this ND team will be able to keep this game close, as did LSU, TAMU and UGA, and try to make a play at the end to win it. Thoughts?

Alabama will roll. Notre Dame is a big fraud.

You're right. Alabama is nowhere near as good as previous few years. We're very lucky to be where we are, and it wouldn't be surprising if the ND game is very close.

Dead wrong. Last year you KNEW it was going to be Richardson left Richardson right and Richardson up the middle.

This year if you creep up to try and stop Lacy and Yeldon you get torched by Cooper deep.

I think we are better than last year's offense. Defensively we aren't as good no doubt.

Could you imagine how good we would be if the juniors that left last season had come back?

Maybe so but until Saban tells the OC to run the freaking ball and quit throwing on first down so much, be prepared for other teams to hang around.

AJ hit the deep pass BECAUSE the run was working. You guys don't need the threat of a pass to make the running game work.

I don't get the offensive philosophy at all.

Agree to this....We are/ were not the team that played last year. Seems after the LSU game we lost that Edge and looked vulnerable and Johnny Football proved it. Then this game last night. All I know if Saban has 36 days to prepare for ND, and our Boyz are rested and healed....they gonna come out Smokin' on ND. It may be close, but I sincerely think Saban will Be the difference

I haven't watched ND play much this year so I can't really say how good they are. I think their schedule turned out to ne a little overrated. They do have quality wins over stanford and oklahoma no doubt. I don't think they have ever seen a team so dedicated to the run. I think we will just wear them down in the 2nd half especially. You know kinda like break their will on defense. Bama's d especially the secondary needs to get their heads out of their butts. Belue is the main one. I hope we learned alot from manziel and the a&m game. If we remember that loss and fix what we did wrong, I don't think ND can hang for 60 min.

Agree. In 9 games this season, Bama played competition where we could pass at will early in the game. Against better competition, the run needs to be established first. Bama ran good against Lsu and the Aggies, but the passing mentality hurt badly, because the competition was elevated a good bit in those games. If Bama focuses on establishing the run from the start, the passing will be there. Not vice versa. Imho.

If anything, trying to be unpredictable is what got Bama in such a hole in the game. The run game was dominating but Nuss kept calling pass plays on first down. We will never know this but I think Saban somewhat took over the offensive play calling in the 3rd quarter and ran the ball right down their throats.

Bama is at its best when the other team knows exactly what we are doing and yet cannot stop it. When you have 4 future NFL players on the OL and 2 NFL HB's, there are very few teams who can stop a straight ahead pro style run game, even if you gave them the play call ahead of time.

ND has no chance. Bama's weakness is pass defense. ND cannot exploit that. ND will play a lot better run defense than UGA, but I don't think they can hang with Bama. This one will be over right after half time.

We do get predictable at times. Every time we have an incomplete pass or get a sack on first down, we run it on second.

Nueter Dame should have two losses. Bama will take them behind the woodshed and beat the tar outta them. They are a sham....and about to be exposed. I cant wait to see the ND coach implode when they start getting freight trained. He may need 911 before the game is over.

ND doesnt have much offense at all and after that young qb of ND gets his shite punched in a few times...he will become colorblind.

If Bama's going to win big, they have to jump on ND early. Bama will have the advantage of being in this environment before, ND will come out starry eyed and nervous. If they can pounce on them early, it could be a one sided game. However, the longer ND stays around and gains confidence, the better their chances become.

I think ND will give us a heckuva game. We are not as talented as last year, especially on defense. It will be tough.
