aTm fans what is the vibe in TX over the Cotton Bowl. Do you'll think TX is still butt hurt and will turn down a Cotton Bowl invite.

I could see it happening better to take a moral high ground stand and turn down the bowl than to get humiliated by aTm.

They'll do whatever they can to avoid us and their fans know it would be a blood bath. Was hoping Florida would lose and we'd have a shot at a BCS bowl but that didn't happen. I would prefer to play the horns over pretty much any other big 12 team but wish we could get a better bowl.

UT has 3 conference losses already. The only way they get in the Cotton Bowl is to beat K State on the road.

Remember - this is the same team that lost to a TCU team playing a freshman QB - AT HOME.

It would be a bloodbath for sure, but I really don't want to play them. It has become a completely unhealthy relationship...we really wouldn't gain much from beating them.

It depends on whether or not Oklahoma State beats Baylor. If so, they'll be in Cotton. If not, several teams will be tied for 3rd

Maybe not, but the damage to some of the longhorn fans would be incredible. They would pretty much be forced to see face to face why the AtM to SEC move hurts them and it could even usher them to get rid of Mack.

Correct. What do you think an an arse whipping at the hands of aTm would do for Longhorn recruiting?

Nope.

If they lose to KState the Big 12 will probably end up with 2 BCS teams.

OU and Okie Light are the only two teams that could get the Cotton over Texas.

OU is at TCU and OSU travels to Baylor to finish the season.

If OU wins while Okie Light and Texas finish 8-4, the Cotton is going to want Texas. The only way Texas doesn't go to the Cotton at this point is if they choose not to or if TCU upsets OU.

Perception is reality. The perception right now is that A&M is hot, and UT is not. No need to play them. The best thing that happens is that we just prove what people are thinking. The worst thing that happens is that we choke and all of our momentum is gone.

i think im one of the few who would like just one more game with the sips. play them one more time, take back scoreboard, and be done with them for ever. it would be a bloodbath, KDS would run up the score, johnny christ would have 7 TDs and 600 yards of total offense, and we would win 77-0

Even though it would be glorious, I have <1% interest in seeing us play any Big Failve team this year. If I want nostagia, I prefer Nebraska in the CapOne bowl. Otherwise, I'd take Michigan n the same bowl.

I don't think beating them would hurt their recruiting much more than it already is. Pretty clear if you're a recruit right now who you should play for.

10-2 in an inaugural season
Heisman trophy winner
Black head coach (let's be honest, this is huge)
SEC, SEC, SEC

Losing at home to a fish QB
On a network that no one watches
Your coordinators will likely be replaced 3 times in your 4 years

I'd definitely like to play Nebraska in that Cap One if at all possible.

no actual Texas fan that I have interacted with(family included after thanksgiving) want to see that match up. It would be absolutely unbearable for them to get stomped by the A&M team that gave them the middle finger and went to greener pastures. None of them thought we could create our own identity with the SEC in Texas, and now that is what the entire state is talking about.

As far as recruiting goes, they need a win against us to stem the tide that is turning in our favor. Sumlin is bitch slapping everyone here already. If we got them in the match up and destroyed them, they would have to change coaching staffs fast.

Texas fan at work told me that Tx would turn down the Cotton bowl because A&M doesn't deserve to play them.

UT doesn't deserve to get a Cotton Bowl slot. They gave up nearly 700 yards to OU.

The only reason ATM fans keep bringing this up is because you think this would be a great excuse to rub UT's nose in it. Keep this in mind - UT is a bad team right now and has been ever since they lost to Bama in the BCS CG.
