And 6th in the SEC out of 14 teams. Holy crap Vandy!! Could they be competing for the East next year or 2? I think so. Look out Florida, UGA and USC. Here comes Vandy.

As great as that is...no. Florida, USC, Georgia, and even UT will always keep Vandy down. Vandy is a worse situation than Mississippi State by a lot, and that's saying something.

I was just giving you shite, but some people would claim this should go on the SEC Recruiting board. Although I think this is a pretty big deal and most people don't have any idea what kind of job JF is doing in Nashvegas, especially on the recruiting front.

Status quo is BS walking. Football changes big time when teams get better players. Franklin is going to step up and starting winning those close games he's been losing the last couple of years when he gets some depth.

How so?

I think Nashville is a HUGE HUGE selling point. Plus Vandy is a good school, and surprisingly that is important to solid but not elite prospects.

Starksville Miss or Nashville? Pretty easy choice.

Nashville is one of the fastest growing cities in the South with great food, people, and job opportunities. Franklin just keeps harping on the fact that Vandy is a great education with the potential to play in the SEC, and if you don't make it pro, you still graduate with a Vandy degree. No other SEC town can match Nashville.

would you have liked franklin as the head coach at UT, or would you have liked to hold out for another coach besides dooley?

Really? I read that in a butthurt tone, I'm sorry knoxville is only a seasonal town that dies when the students leave.

To some, Nashville would be an awesome place to attend college. Sure as hell beats Starksville Miss, and plenty of other college towns.

Getting a chance to play SEC ball in a vacation destination has its appeal and it's showing in recruiting. Nashville's destruction of country music aside, it's simply an awesome place to be.

To be honest I want Franklin to succeed more than anyone else in college football. I had a good expectation from him ever since David Williams hired him. I am glad he is making it happen and hope he will continue. When I don't watch UGA I watch Vanderbilt PERIOD.

Vandy is clearly on the rise in the SEC. I'm shocked that Franklin's name isn't getting more play with the openings out there.

I would take him at UK over any other name I'm hearing right now.
