Lord knows it played a part on 1/9. Sometimes a team hits the field and there is just no way they lose that game. That was Bama on 1/9 imo. What is taking place in Death Valley on Saturday is unprecedented in our history, will be interesting to see how the fans and players respond

I think motivation can give a little edge in college athletics, but I think its impact is fairly limited on the results of the game. In both the 1/9 game and this game there is so much on the line that it is inconceivable that both teams are not about as motivated as humanly possible.

Energy and noise from the home crowd are bigger deals than revenge.

Teams Bama played that had revenge on their mind during this season and last

1.Arkansas- twice
2.UT- twice
3.OM- twice
4.Penn St
5.MSU- twice
6.Fla- twice

Teams that successfully gained revenge during that same span

1.
2.

That could be the case, but the excruciating agony the players went thru due to this loss was tremendous. They never want to feel that way again and will be ready to lay some licks on the very team that caused that pain. Bama definitely did that on 1/9 and it was apparent. Them boys was pissed!

Bona Fide...do any of those teams have the same talent/coaching as us? Did any of those teams have their National Championship dreams crushed by Bama?

Nope

Bama players weren't talking revenge on 1/9. They were talking about "RESTORING ORDER" remember? Not trying to be an arse but Bama is really all about history and tradition not about paying back losses... Bama was the better team in November but didn't capitalize on several opportunities.. They KNEW that. LSU players don't know anything other than they hope they don't get embarrassed again...

Yes, UF lost BCS title bid then proceeded to get stomped by Bama the next time they played.

Emotion is always a huge factor in college football. LSU will come out with a vengeance. It's up to Bama to punch them in the mouth and instill some doubt early. Hope that happens.

LSU will most definitly have the Revenge Factor. That said, we still win with a steadfast determination to win the NC. It' s all about preperation and execution. Just like it has been all this season...it will be jo different on Saturday night. LSU is a great Football team to be sure, but we are better....RTR

The last two years you guys beat FL where they attempted "revenge " they were terrible those years....lost maybe 10 games? Not for sure on that. Anyway....still not the same in my opinion. And they never lost to you in the NCG.

As far as the "restoring order" poster....you are a fool if you don't think revenge was on Bama's mind after two straight losses to LSU.

Who are you, and what have you done with the real Teague? That's missing his usual homerism.

I'm not especially homeristic as football fans go. I'm just often a smartass. When people ask legit questions, I'm usually civil. When people troll, I play along. It is for fun. Like stretchy pants.

not at all. lsu's players don't need that as motivation - their motivation should be the national championship is at stake. if they look to take revenge - their tank will run dry. Bama wins big.

And yet there was that quote about how they had revenge for the win LSU had at TS the year before.

LSU was the better team on 11/3, Bama on 1/9. DWI
