Discuss our hurry-up offense.....

I'm watching a replay of the game and Gary Danielson provides some damn keen insight. We were running a hurry-up offense most of the game and it seemed to be effective on running plays out of a spread formation but on passing downs at times our receivers were confused and out of sync. Case in point as Danielson aptly pointed out, TE Jay Rome was blocking on the pass play when Murray threw that side-armed pass over the middle to Wooten that was intercepted. Rome's blunder freed up another defender to trail Wooten and yes, Murray threw the ball into a crowd again. Danielson suggested that the hurry-up can help you at times but hurt you when everyone isn't singing off the same sheet of music. I would agree that an offensive player not knowing whether a play is a run or a pass is a pretty major oversight.

Yes I watched the replay and you are correct. If I were Saban (if he was the coach of this team), I would fire the OC, get real tight ends, get a better quarterback, bench any one who gave up penalties.

So should we do this before the Ole Miss game, or wait till Thanksgiving weekend when everyone's home?
