Saban. But they are both the best in the country

Lebeau shouldn't be insulted by putting his name with CFB coaches. Saban's D ranking with the Browns was fair, but not even in the same universe with Lebeau.

Lebeau is old and washed up similar to Monte Kiffin. He needs to hang it up why he still has his good name.

I'd give the nod to Coach Saban on this one, but Chief does well enough.

There's a reason Dick Lebeau is in the NFL and has had sustained success...there's also a reason saban and chavis are in college and not the NFL

Saban. He has revolutionized the 3-4 in college. Well, him and Kirby Smart. They are like the dynamic duo.

I have always liked Lebeau, Should have gotten the job when Cowher retired, but the coach they hired was obviously a great choice.

I'd say it's close, but Saban wins. Both are the best

They are so different they are hard to compare. I mean almost opposite. Different kinds of players and body types and different scheme.

If you are going by results you would have to go with saban. Having said that, our lber corps was shite the past 2 years and still was top notch. Saban does have more talent (the exact talent) to do everything he wants.

Chavis didn't have the horses he has now which ties into my last comment. He still had a great D at Tennessee towards the end with modest talent though.

I'll go with Chavis. He's absolutely or nothing to work with or complement his defense on the offensive side of the ball, so they're talent and production is even that more impressive.
Plus Bama hardly ever plays anyone in the regular season besides LSU worth anything and that's why their stats are always so padded and low.

Oh, but wait, he also said he didn't want Nick Saban as Alabama's head coach (he's a closet Alabama fan).
