UNCONFIRMED: From @BrianVanOchten, a Tuscaloosa, AL writer: The news on South Carolina's Marcus Lattimore is awful: Broken femur and all four knee ligaments torn. Such a shame.

The EG special.

Haney1075: Spurrier said Lattimore had a similar injury to TJ Gurley. Knee popped out of place but was put back quickly. Trainers feel optimistic.

Yeah I don't get the laughing either.

If he hasn't broken his femur then the odds go up that he can play again. He wouldn't be the first player to tear pretty much all the ligaments in his knee and still make it back. I really hope he can do it.

I just read it again and they're saying he didn't tear anything? Then his ligaments are like rubber bands and the most elastic ones I've ever seen in my lifetime.

Can this be considered good news? Any medical experts or rehab specialist posting that can answer?

If they're saying he didn't break his femur or didn't tear anything (at least that's how I read it) it's fantastic news.
