I hope this is true. His season would be over, but not his career.

I just read it again and they're saying he didn't tear anything? Then his ligaments are like rubber bands and the most elastic ones I've ever seen in my lifetime.

I've never seen a knee dislocation where nothing is torn.

We won't know anything for sure until either him, a family member, or a school official releases a statement. The doctors and hospital cannot release any information.

It looked like his lower leg was just hanging on by the skin the way it was flopping around.

I hope it's just a dislocation.

Can this be considered good news? Any medical experts or rehab specialist posting that can answer?

I'm a physical therapist. I find it insanely hard to believe that his knee just "popped out" without compromising his ligaments.

Neither have I. At the very least we're talking the Patellar Tendon and his wasn't just a dislocated knee cap.

I guess crazier things have happened but it's possible they're just waiting for further tests.

There was visible physical deformity. I just don't see how his knee could dislocate that bad and there be no ligament damage.

Apparently it is officially just a knee dislocation.

I wish him the best. It would be a shame if his career ended playing a meaningless game against our pathetic piece of shite team.

Generally "just" a knee dislocation consists of torn /damaged ligaments. It's a bit confusing to read that it's officially a knee dislocation while they dismiss news of any ligament tears or bones broken (which can happen as well).

I do hope the best for him and if by some miracle he didn't tear anything that would be the best news he could get. If any player deserves that he certainly does.

I am neither however I have suffered aa dislocated kneecap. The rehab is not very long if there is no other damage which I doubt. Should be back 100% for next year if that is all however if he had cartilage damage like I did he's looking at 2 years before he can run as well as he will need to. That being said my injury was very rare. Overall I would say it is very good news pending an MRI

Maybe that injury just looked much worse than it was or at least that's what I'm hoping hate to see his nfl career jeopardized.

I'm trying to figure out where the blogger who wrote that is getting his information.
Is there a press conference going on or something?

The first time I clicked the link there was only one bolded paragraph. Now there are several.

I've done it a few times, but I have hypermobile joints. My patellas are fully detached, and I can dislocate just about any joint my body with minimal pain or damage.

Docs say that's why I can still walk after breaking my back in a car accident.

I doubt Lattimore has hypermobile joints, but he might. It wouldn't surprise me.
