What are we thinking it will be like? I'll be in the student section drunk and cheering (thank God it's a night game) until we start losing by a lot then I will leave. I'll be cheering the loudest for the military since its Military appreciation day. Also, pumped to see a fly over. I am going to enjoy myself at what will most likely be my last night game as a student.

Half the students will act like we'll win, the other half will be cautious about showing too much emotion.

Alumni section will boo. A lot.

I'm going to the game, but really headed up to AU just to tailgate....our opportunities to tailgate all day are few and far between this year. The flyover will be cool as well.

I wonder how many empty seats there will be?

I am going to the game, will be cheering loudly and when/if by halftime we are getting killed, I will leave. I have never left a game early in my 4 years here besides Iron Bowl last year and that was because so many shitty Auburn students gave their tickets to bammers that I almost got in five fights in the first half alone, and did not want to go to jail. I watched us lose to Vanderbilt last weekend, then still wore my AU shirt out to a festival (in Florida) the whole day knowing I would catch shite from random strangers but I didn't care because I always wear Auburn on gamedays. So yeah, I am a real shitty fan.

That is what I am wondering too. I had no connections to Auburn before going here so I have not been here for a real crappy season before (My first football season here was 2009). Was just wondering what the stadium is like when we completely suck.

luckily I'm just young enough to not be able to really remember what our shitty seasons were like

I was 11 in '98 so while I remember it, I don't think I really cared

I doubt my parents took me to any games that year either

edit: welll I was a student in '08 but it just never felt this bad. seriously... even during the iron bowl I didn't feel as bad as now. maybe because it was bama's first win over us in 7 years

Yeah in 08 I always thought we could win each week

This year I expect us to lose every game

There will probably be some gaps in the upper deck, lower bowl should be full. Crowd will probably still be in it very early but will probably fade quickly when we start to lose.

Since it is night I will probably stay for the whole thing, but if we are getting blown out I might ease back to the tailgate for additional drinks, etc. Call me a shitty fan or whatever.

I hope the crowd is loud as shite and supports the players on the field, no matter what. They deserve at least that.

Congrats?

Just be glad you didn't go to school from 98-02, in the Bowden/Tuberville transition years.

Student section will probably be packed because of the excitement of finally having another night game. I think it'll be loud until we start losing. Same old same old.

I'm with you. I was a student in 08 and never felt this bad. Mainly because we were close in every game besides the Bama game. We also started out 4-1. We are 1-6 with a weak arse defense and sorry arse offense. It's pathetic

I hate this kind of shite. I graduated Auburn along with my brother and my wife. The football team is school related entertainment. You want me to watch, then you need to be entertaining. Auburn is more than just the football team to me. Just because I choose to leave a football game doesn't mean that I love it any less.

So how bout the atmosphere other than in the stadium? Will town be significantly less crowded than usual?

I'm coming in for this week's game, and I've never been in Auburn when the team is this bad.
