I know both schools aren't well represented on the Rant but who you got in this game? LSU guys, you have played both in recent weeks...who impressed you more?

I know UF has been real solid all year, but I just don't see how they can be as physical as LSU was against us last week. Think we caught a break with the 3:30 time slot as fans can't get as drunk and crazy as LSU did last week. Backs against the wall, I think we come out and play better and squeak out a win in Gainesville.

Florida will win, Carolina has major problems on defense to give up that many points to LSU.

UF impressed me more because they beat us. We pretty much dominated the USC game but couldn't score touchdowns in the red zone. I hope USC crushes UF.

THis is one of those "cross your fingers and hope shite goes right" games for UF.

I don't know who wins but I hope UF can pull it out.

I am going to go with USC for the bounce back game.
They just got done playing in a very tough environment, so they will have a little more experience on how to deal with it after going to LSU.

Going to be a nail bitter, but I will come down to if Shaw can move the ball.

I will go USC 24-21

If UF plays like they played us they should win. We were having trouble with the read option that driskel was using. Every time he did it, it froze the defense for a second and it killed us.

South Carolina has the potential to be more explosive on offense than Florida.

I guess Florida's defense did a better job vs. LSU than SC so I'd give them the edge.

SC's punt returner is a stud. Florida's punter is excellent. This will be an interesting matchup.

UF and USC played very different LSU teams. Our offense vs. UF in the swamp was awful. It didn't help that UF's defense was playing like madmen. USC, unluckily got a fired up LSU team. They were lucky the game was that close with how many times we were in the redzone.

I think USC get's it done because Shaw has a good game. USCe 20-17

The LSU - Florida game had the revenge factor built into it for the gators. As do several of LSU's games this year. Last year LSU embarassed alot of teams, which means coming into this season... LSU had a big target on its back.

Starting a new QB hasn't helped early in the season, but if anyone thinks the offense LSU put on the field against Carolina was the same one that went into FLA, you are kidding yourselves. So comparing which team gave up more points, doesn't really paint the whole picture.

The Carolina - Florida game has alot more implications than the Caroline - LSU game did for South Carolina. Florida won't be able to stack the box against USC like they did to LSU for the entire game. If they do, Spurrier will make them pay for it.

With Florida not being able to stack the box, I see Latimore having a game closer to his average than he did against LSU. The key for Carolina will be to limit 3 and outs. If you let Florida get double the T.O.P., they will wear out your front 7 on D in the second half like they did to LSU, and like LSU did to your front 7 this weekend. That is the only reason Hill broke a 50 yarder, and the only reason Fla was able to gash LSU in the second half.

Carolina comes off as a completely different team away from Williams-Brice. The energy they have there is just unparalleled, like a tidal wave that can avalanche visiting teams. Carolina just doesn't have that same extra gear it takes to finish teams as an away team, it would seem. Plus the Gators protect the Swamp very well. Should be an interesting game to say the least. I will go...

they're pretty comparable. UF would have probably had the same fate if they had to play LSU on the road a week after LSU lost to USC on the road.

With UF at home though I will give them the nod.

Florida's punter dominated the first half of the game v. LSU. If he's that good again, and can put the SC defense in crap field position for that D to fest on, Florida will win with the same formula they used to beat LSU.

Florida will lose by at least two touchdowns. No bye week for Florida to have extra time to prepare and I don't think they will be able to get up as much for this game as LSU's! Also South Carolina will convert 3rd downs "unlike LSU" while allowing their defense plenty of rest to control Florida's r...

This will be a very similar game to LSU vs UF.

The problem for UF is that USC's offense is better than LSU's, so they'll be able to move the ball around.

USC is going to score more than 6 points, and UF is probably going to need more than 14 to win.

Even though USCe hasn't been that impressive on the road, I think they are a more complete team at this point than Florida.

Florida's only chance, IMO, is to play tougher and try to dominate the LOS like LSU did in Baton Rouge. If UF can run like LSU ran, they can win. If they can't, then Driskel has to win the game and I don't think he can stand up to that pass rush.

Game will most likely come down to turnovers and field position. Any big play TD's will also be huge.

Does UF run well in between the guards? I think this is where LSU excelled. They neutralized Clowney because they could run right up the gut and Clowney had to chase their backs from behind. I think the zone read plays to our favor due to how fast Clowney gets in the backfield.

Rewatch clips from the UF v LSU game. Gillislee and the UF OL ripped LSU apart right up the gut out of gigantic 6 and sometimes 7 OL formations.

Gillislee has great vision, so they like those big formations because it creates so many different gaps for him to run through.

LSU couldn't stop it in the 2nd half.

The zone read hasn't been used as much, although it was extremely effective against Vanderbilt.
