This kid may be the best DE that people have never heard of before. He went from not rated this summer to a 4 star on Both Scout and 247.
He is 6'6' 250lbs and is a blowing up this year as a sr. He mostly played basketball up until this past year.
Scout has him the 18th best DE in America
247 has him as the 2nd best DE in America

If he keeps getting better publicity a good school is going to come along and snag em up.  jk congrats.

Kid is a diehard bulldog and only lives about 40 miles away from Starkville.
Merlin found another diamond who is becoming polished and noticed by some of the national recruiting guys. Still wondering why Rivals hasn't bumped him.

I'm not sure who it is, but isn't there someone in the Dandy Dozen (WR i believe) that went to the State camp and ran like a 4.9 and everyone dropped his offer?

He really did. This summer when he committed nobody knew who he was but now everybody is beginning to find out.

This year? Only DD WR I can think of this year is Scott Austin.

We wrapped him up before anyone knew who he was. He still gets calls from all over and doesn't give them the time of day. Not sure if you are trying to say he's not very good. That wouldn't be very smart for you to say. It's actually very impressive that his only offers are from southern and state and he still got bumped up to a 94 on 247. He's a stud.

Athletically very similar to Fletcher Cox in high school. Just really raw.
Hopefully this is the answer at rush end for us in the future, a position we've previously failed at recruiting in the highschool ranks. We've done well recruiting this in the JUCO ranks, but it is just constantly temporary fixes.
He is actually the #12 DE on 24/7... they just split wDE and sDE. Kid should be a monster as a rsFr/rsSo
