Of course, now he has deleted it, but Mark Ennis of ESPN 680 retweeted Connor Shaw calling out Under Armour for shoddy products and then linking it to some of his teammates injuries.

Someone wasn't happy with it but I don't mind players speaking up like this. If Cam Newton isn't happy with Under Armour's products he can get something done about it; but college players are voiceless in that regard. As schools and conferences start to make more and more money off these guys I hope more of them become vocal about things like this.

Yeah well I figure if SC decided to go with Under Armour over any other brand its cause they were able to offer us some type of good deal which is why its probably a big no no to have players speak out about it.

With that said I know Tanner lets our team choose what brand of bats to use each year so I agree, good $ making deal for SC or not its a good idea to let the players use what they're most comfortable with.

never had a problem in terms of safety with their cleats other than they have to be replaced quicker than Nike.

Totally agree. If you're making the players wear a certain brand at least let them voice their concerns so the brands can work on them.

ETA: this is in general, not anything towards under armour. I've never worn their cleats.

The more I read about this the more I worry about AU. If AU finds their products to be complete shite could we break the contract with UA.

Not saying Shaw shouldn't be able to voice his opinion, but I hate how for a lot of people these days their first instinct is to run to twitter to air out grievances.

A few years ago it was very bad, I haven't heard as many complaints from the bootball side.

I think they can wear any product they so choose. The logo has to be covered up.

Yall could break it at anytime, but Under Armor could probably recover damages in court against Auburn.

And once you tweet or post on Facebook, you can't take it back.

Well, obviously you can delete it, but plenty of people will know it was said.

He can voice his opinion, but don't do it on Twitter. Bring it up with the Athletic Department and Equipment Managers and let them work with UA to find a solution.

Adidas is one of the worst when it comes to football equipment. Their cleets were awful when I trained.

If he brings it up to an equipment manager nothing will happen. I dont mind him doing it on twitter. UA is company not some ex-girlfriend youre trashing on twitter. I guarantee UA has already seen this and has got to be slightly embarassed.

They still are. At least for Football or Baseball. Maybe they make some good Lacrosse cleats.

frick I hate social media. How simple is it to talk to someone who can relay the message the under armour instead of bitching on twitter about it.
