frick I hate social media. How simple is it to talk to someone who can relay the message the under armour instead of bitching on twitter about it.

How do we know he hasn't already tried this route?

I think they can wear any product they so choose. The logo has to be covered up.

They must wear UA per contract. Each school is different but the higher ups are usually the only people involved in that decision and it is mostly about money and personal relationships with the company.

Yeah well I figure if SC decided to go with Under Armour over any other brand its cause they were able to offer us some type of good deal which is why its probably a big no no to have players speak out about it.
With that said I know Tanner lets our team choose what brand of bats to use each year so I agree, good $ making deal for SC or not its a good idea to let the players use what they're most comfortable with.

Does Under Armour make bats?

Under Armour for footwear is terrible on everything they make.

Agree, UA shoes are as terrible as the grammar in that sentence.

If AU finds their products to be complete shite could we break the contract with UA.

We just signed another deal with them, I don't see us going with another brand. UA has really pushed Auburn nation wide, I wish Barbee would get on board with some of the advertising they want to do in BBall but he has his reasons. Auburn is UA's main brand in football and has done several nation wide campaigns for us, Nike and others wouldn't consider doing that.

Has there been any word on the uniform changes? I heard there were definitely some more coming, but haven't heard what they would potentially be.

Of course, now he has deleted it, but Mark Ennis of ESPN 680 retweeted Connor Shaw calling out Under Armour for shoddy products and then linking it to some of his teammates injuries.

Someone wasn't happy with it but I don't mind players speaking up like this. If Cam Newton isn't happy with Under Armour's products he can get something done about it; but college players are voiceless in that regard. As schools and conferences start to make more and more money off these guys I hope more of them become vocal about things like

I'm sure that the UnderArmour products are just such shoddy workmanship compared to the fine Nike products built by Indonesian slave labor.

@WarBlogle @WarBlogle: So this is what I’ve heard: the numbers & letters on Auburn’s jerseys will be slightly larger than last year. The tapered pant stripes stay.

All I've seen about it.

Please continue spouting off ignorant statements as if they were fact.

Many Auburn players used to wear New Balance cleats with UA logos taped over due to how shitty UA's early cleats were.

Now that UA has started to make higher quality footwear, and specifically focusing on Auburn, there are very few players doing this.

50% right.

When Auburn had their contract with Russell, Nike supplied the footwear. Nike raised a hissy fit when players would "spat" up, aka tape their ankles for stability, because the tape covered up the Swoosh. Nike told Auburn to stop spatting over their logo. So Auburn politely told Nike to frick off and signed a shoe deal in 04/05 with New Balance, who was new to the Football Cleat game. New Balance didn't give a shite about spatting, because their logo got put on the Sideline Fans.

Come December 2005, Auburn signs an Apparel Contract with Under Armour, which outfits Auburn across the board in all sports that UA makes equipment/uniforms for. Under Armour's footwear line, including cleats, debuted during the 2006 season.

ETA: This commercial was part of the launch of the UA Cleat line, and includes Tommy Tuberville sounding like a duck

I understand y'all are saying you would like to hear the players speak up, but usually they can't. Here is Nike's contract with Memphis. Nike can terminate the agreement if anyone complains about the quality of the gear.

I don't think a player counts as a member of the AD administration (including Coach or Staff).

My point is its mentioned in most contracts that the school is not to disparage the supplier. Maybe USCs contract includes players, I don't know, I haven't seen their contract.

Auburn has been 100% UA the past 2 seasons. Try and keep your facts up to date.
