Arkansas had one last year go #9. Really could have used his bat this season.

Need to put David Dahl for Auburn. He was the 10th overall pick out of Oak Mountain HS.

All of these kids could likely sign with the new MLB draft rules.

Yeah I think Stankiewicz and Poche are gone. Not sure about McCall and McClure.

I think we have a good shot with Buttrey. Slot there is $291K. Think he fell because teams weren't sure if he was signable for anything below 1.5M

I think those guys make it to campus, about a 3% chance Stankiewicz makes it, and probably 50/50 on McClure.

Would be nice, but I don't think Poche makes it. He wasn't rated that high so I'm thinking the O's drafted him knowing they could sign him. Opposite situation of Buttrey IMO

His brother posts on TD and said he thinks his brother will sign.

Speaking of Ty Buttrey...
Ty Buttrey has every reason to be outraged at Providence High School. Buttrey is the brand new fourth round draft pick of the Boston Red Sox and a high school senior. On the night that Buttrey was drafted, his school held its graduation rehearsal. Buttrey asked to stay home so he could answer the phone in case he was picked. The school said no. He asked if he could bring his phone. The school said no again.

I hope that something happens and Ty Buttrey is allowed to walk. This should not be taken away from the kid for trying to make moves for his future. This circumstance is completely unusual and it should have been allowed to happen. Buttrey could not help that is when the teams would be calling him. They couldn’t change their schedule and Buttrey even offered to show up at rehearsal.

Ty Buttrey will miss out on his graduation but at least he has his future in front of him. High school graduation is great but so is being picked in the MLB Draft. Too bad his school administrators do not understand.

I thought Ole Miss had a couple go pretty high. One was a shortstop from La. I am thinking that went in the 1st round

South Carolina:

Corey Seager-INF-#18 Dodgers (1st Round)
Jamie Jarmon-OF-#83 Rangers (2nd Round)
Jamie Callahan-RHP-#87 Red Sox (2nd Round)
Zak Wasilewski-LHP-#445 Blue Jays (14th Round)
Kwinton Smith-RHP-#456 Rangers (14th Round)
Ryan Ripken-INF-#612 Orioles (20th Round)

Jarmon, Callahan and Wasilewki have already signed. Obviously would expect Seager to sign as well. Kwinton Smith isn't actually a baseball recruit and is coming to SC for football (WR), so don't expect him to sign.

SC is fortunate with a few guys that were projected to be top 5 rounders who pulled their names from the draft and informed teams that they wouldn't be signing.
