Hey everyone. I got a call earlier that one of my closest friends who was seriously injured in Afghanistan last week is not only off life support he is back in the states in Massachusetts.
He lost both legs, his left hand, broke every rib, shattered his pelvis and broken fingers on his right hand, but he is alive and is starting his road to recovery
Background:
He walked directly on an IED while retracing his steps after a patrol. This was his second time overseas. They flew him to Germany and he was on life support several days till tonight when they flew him back the the states.

Damn...
I hope his rehab goes well. With all the high tech prosthetics they have these days he will at least be able to regain all of his independence.

Damn, that sucks. That he got injured, not that he's recovering. I lost a really good friend in Iraq in '07. I have friends that have been on 5 tours over there. shite needs to end.
