to the two men who used to wear the ties, and had the Tide detergent boxes on a stick? Sitting here watching the ESPN Roll Tide/War Eagle documentary, they showed old footage of these two. I remember always seeing them on TV as a kid...

I remember they had a table to sign autographs at the Galleria mall in Birmingham and not a single person stopped at it

I used to tailgate with them.
Big Dog and Red is what they were known as. Those boxes were actually signed by a lot of famous people. I think Ronald Reagan had signed one of them and just about every famous Bama player you can think of.
They were actually very good people, that weren't near as obnoxious as they look on TV.
