Completely hypothetical:

If, and only if, LSU beats Bama convincingly and OSU beats Stanford convincingly does Gundy campaign for the "match that should have happened"?

Obviously it wouldn't happen in this bowl season but schedules are flexible for the future.

Just something to think about.

Writers will bitch about it for a week.
ESPN will bitch about it for years.

America will just move onto NFL playoffs.

The important part is "nobody will care" in a week guarantee.

If LSU wins everyone should just shut the hell up. They've proven enough that they could just decline the bowl game and I'd vote them number 1.

Nothing in the OP has to do with the public. I'm talking about Gundy campaigning like Saban did.

Once again this is about a single coach of a single program, not "everyone". Stay on topic please.

Sounds like an exercise in futility.

We've had split titles, and that never led to a "should have" match.

If all of that happens then T Boone should force UT to play aTm every year on Thanks Giving just to teach the SEC a lesson...Well it is a better answer than Gundy going home and kicking his dog and
