Even though Kirkpatrick gave up the td catch to Wade(great catch) I thought the Bama secondary locked down what is considered the best WR corps in the country.

The coverage by the back 8 on this team laughs at the 09 Bama defense. Hightower has even gotten better in coverage.

Dre and Barron are the two best DBs in the SEC. Menzie is borderline top 5.

Dre brought the swag today. Barron is one of the best, if not the best, at run support. He still needs to prove he has improved in pass coverage to be declared top 2 in the SEC though. Lots of good DBs in this conference.

It was the entire defensive unit playing shut-down. Every unit played well. Best I have seen our special teams play.

The glaring thing that makes Bama's and LSU's defense so good is their secondary play. The Bama corners were lighting people up today. While our corners were standing around tugging their nutsack.
