Mallett Watch... When will his name be called?

Less than 24 hours until the draft begins. Mallett has been projected as high as top 10, and as low as 3rd or 4th round. There have been reports that some teams have taken Mallett completely off their draft board, while at the same time the head coach of the Panthers has said that Mallett is one of 8 players they are considering with their #1 pick.
No question Mallett's the biggest wildcard of this draft. However, I have confidence that at least one NFL GM in the first round will see what I see in Mallett - the most NFL ready QB in the class, and the best pure passer.
adammwilson has consistently asserted that Mallett is not a 1st round QB. I made a bet with him over a month ago to make him put his money where his mouth is - If Mallett is drafted in the first round, he has to change his avi to a pic of Mallett of my choosing and he has to be an Arkansas fan until the first Georgia game. If Mallett falls out of the first, adamm can choose an avi for me and I will have to be a Georgia fan until Arky's first game. (Link to thread that adamm and I made the bet in - LINK )

Adammwilson isn't alone in his viewpoint on this...

I will be here tomorrow night whether or not Mallett drops out of the first. So be prepared to eat or serve crow.

I wouldn't be shocked if he went 12th to Vikings. They have everything in place and need a QB.

You could be right. If he slips past Miami at 15, Seattle is all that's left in the first round. Isn't Cincy pretty early in the second?

Probably would be a bad fit, AD and their O-line help make Farve look decent at times last year.

I will be pumped if this happens. I lived in Minnesota for a couple years and that's the only NFL team I've ever kind of rooted for (besides the Cowboys in the 90's).

I think Mallett will go at the end of the first to a team trading up from the early second round.
