He could go early as 12 to the Vikings who really need a QB or drop to the second or third round. The guy just seems like a trainwreck in waiting. I think that'll scare off quite a few teams.

Has it been posted on here that Rick Gosselin, one of the most accurate Mock drafters out there, predicted 5 QBs in the top 12?
And Mallett was not one of them, he wasn't even in the 1st...

I know right? One public intoxication and a few untimely interceptions over his 26 game career in the toughest conference against the toughest defenses just SCREAMS trainwreck.
His 158.1 career passing efficiency at Arkansas (3rd highest in SEC history) is another indicator of a looming trainwreck.
You could really start to see the trainwreck developing this season when he threw for 3800 yards (3rd highest in SEC history).
More about those untimely interceptions: his ratio of pass attempts to interceptions of 1:42.8 is the fifth-best in conference history (min. 600 attempts).
Never missed a start, never failed a drug test.
Yup. TRAINWRECK.

There is some "character" stuff the nfl guys have discovered on RM, but they have nothing to do with drugs. I still think he goes first round, to the Dolphins who trade down to about 20-25 and take him

Rightfully so IMO, he's a got a lot of appealing qualities as a QB. I don't know about #8 overall though.
