Today was a very hard game. They were beat by a better team, and outplayed against, but this year is just the beginning of a run for the Gamecocks.

Next year they have most of our players back. We have to replace our FB, but they will have another good season.

Connor Shaw will be a star when he starts the '12 season against East Carolina. The next few seasons will be great ones for the Gamecocks.

Winning an SEC title will eventually be the icing on the cake. Maybe they can win more than one.

The other teams in our division are getting much better, and will be tougher outs in the next couple years. October 1 and 8 next year will be crazy (Kentucky and Auburn back to back at home).

The schedule works out well next year. Seven home games plus the neutral site against ECU in Charlotte.

Hopefully the fans will support the Gamecocks in the bowl. No matter where it is, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Tampa or Orlando, they deserve it. A nine-win regular season, which has only happened in '01 and '84 in our generation.

Maybe. But it seems every time USCe has an opportunity to build onto an accomplishment they completely fall apart.

I'm pulling for you guys. But I think Shaw needs to start next year. Garcia just seems to fall apart at the worst moments.

The beginning of the end yeah. South Carolina was a "good" team but them being in the SECCG was facilitated by better programs not being so "good" this year. Enjoy the ride, it's about to return you to the turnstile you entered from.

USC benefitted from a weak Eastern Division this year. The program didn't progress to where it was really to the top of the SEC.

If Florida continues the slide and is a non-factor, then I could see USC putting together a nice little run as it relates to making it to the SEC Championship game.

But, I don't see SC truly being at the top of the SEC.

Lets be honest you got crushed by Arkansas and Auburn, lost to an awful Kentucky team, beat up on an awful east. Your team was about as good as us this year, which was 5th in the west.

The beginning?

How many more years do you think Spurrier has left in him to finish this journey?

USC has a tough road, sharing a small state with another school, and having to compete against Florida and Georgia, two heavyweights in terms of resources (money and Big School status). I wish the Gamecocks good luck, although I think Spurrier has taken you as far as he will. Get a younger HC with some fire and imagination; that's your best bet for the future.

USC is a decent team with 2 excellent players, but let's not kid ourselves. They are in this game because this is the worst division this conference has seen since the expansion.

You have some of the best fans but I wouldn't trade Jefferson for Garcia and I wouldn't trade Miles for Spurrier.... O.K. I lied. I would trade Miles for Spurrier.

Garcia was your best chance at a SECCG. I like the GC's but I think they are back to bottom dwelling & spoilers next year. Good luck in your bowl game. I will be rooting for ya'll!

The SEC West wasn't that great in the late 90s, so that's debatable.
