What is everyone's opinion on Auburn's High School offense now? Are we good offensively, or is it just a one man show?

I've always thought that stuff was stupid. If it works, then do it. Auburn isn't just a one man show, but they wouldn't be nearly as dangerous without him. Dyer, Adams, etc are good players.

I prefer a pro style offense. I'm not as big a fan of a Florida, Texas, Auburn style offense because when you don't have the right guy at QB (like Florida and Texas this year), then the offense shuts down. This offense puts a lot on the QB. That being said, when you've got a Tebow, VY, Cam type player, it's really hard to stop.

Ole miss is going to expose them. Auburn has never seen a defense like that. Nuttt is currently teaching the Tampa Two. Trap game at it's finest. Cam doesn't get over 70 yards rushing

Cam = 70% of offense. Enjoy it this year.

This, its not gimmicky but it does require a certain player to run it. I guess you could really say that about any type offense though.

Still a one man show...Newton makes the rest of the running game so much better. The Dyer draws and handoffs are 3x more effective since there is always the threat that Newton will keep it.

It's very effective, but you're still a one man show.

If I was to be completely honest, I do too. I love the way our offense moves the ball, but feel it also puts our defense against the wall (at times), time of possession wise.

I hope I don't sound like a flamer. I have absolutely nothing against Auburn and its fans, but I honestly do think it's kind of a one-man show.

It's hard to say where Auburn would be without Cam. McCalebb and Dyer would still produce, but I don't think they would be nearly as effective without Cam as the x-factor.

But none of that matters. Cam could conceivably take Auburn to the big show this year, and quite frankly, I hope he does.

Well the problem I have with it is that Gilbert and Brantley are good pro style QBs. If LSU had either guy, then they'd be in good shape. Texas and Florida can't mold their offense around them.

I think Gus is better than those guys or Rich Rod in playing to his QB. They did well with poor QBs last year. Gus has a decent offense with a pro style QB and killer O with a mobile guy.

Florida, Texas, and Rich Rod are terrible when they have pocket QBs.

It's not our fault your corch picked the one guy who could have actually helped your team to grow a backbone with.

at this point I'd say it's mostly Cam Newton. I'm not sayin' Malazhn isn't a good coordinator. He is. I can honestly say our offense was better the year he was here than the year before or after. But, right now Auburn's offense is Newton dependent. If he was to have a season ending injury next week, then Auburn is done. Much like Texas would have been if VY had gone down.

LSU is horrible about playing to the strengths of their QBs. That's why I won't be very confident even if we get Mettenberger or Bridgewater.

It is still a high school offense with a once in a lifetime talent running the show.
