Yes I am still butt-hurt but what I am about to say is truth

This will be a close game (can't wait to watch it) but the difference in this game is John Chavis. He is by far the best DC Auburn has seen thus far and will NOT let one player decide this game. Cam is amazing but he will not be able to trump both Chavis and the best defense he has ever played against.

IF LSU can score 24+ (I think they can, Auburns D is not good) they are in the drivers seat to ATL

LSU's offense is comparable to or worse than MSU's.

MSU scored 14 points.

Yep.... but let's not make John Chavis out to be Dick Lebeau or something.... I've seen several of his defenses lose in Auburn or Knoxville with far more offensive support than he'll get Saturday.

with JJ it is. I think J Lee led drives have scored TDs on his last 8-13. 4 of those were killed by penalties (not by him) and the other one was killed by us bringing in JJ by the Goal line.

Lee and the LSU tigers scored 33 on Florida with Lee seeing less than 50% of the snaps. We will score when we feel like it when Lee is in the game.

Statistically speaking, yes. But we have more playmakers.

And you only scored 17 on them and their defense definitely isn't as good as LSU's.

None of that means anything this week, fyi.

LSU's offense is comparable to Arkansas State's.

Arkansas State scored 26.

Pretty easy and pointless to play that game.

Wrong. A JJ lead offense is worse than a MSU offense.

A J Lee offense put up 33 points on Florida seeing less than 50% of the snaps. Imagine what we would of put up with him getting real playing time.

I agree with some of what you said. This will be our best defense we have faced.

But, why is it that everyone thinks Auburn does not have any skilled players other than Cam. We have basically the same skilled players we had last year without him. A better line and a better running back.

Dont think because Cam has most of the stats that he is all we have. I fully expect LSU to work on slowing Cam down. But look for some others to get some opportunities.

If you are doing something and it is working, you keep doing it till they can stop you. Then you adjust.

its actually ridiculous to think that Cam can not throw the ball more or that our backs can not run the ball.

Your receivers couldn't get open against a worse LSU defense last year to save their life.

I do agree about your line and I'm anxious to see how they match up with our DL.

I don't get this either. Through the first four games of the season (which included playing MSU, USCe and Clemson) we had three players averaging 70+ ypg rushing - Newton, McCaleb and Dyer - and were I think the only FBS team to have that four games into the season.

If you focus on shutting down Cam, we do have the talent to still put up yards/points. Are we as explosive without him running the ball? No, but we would still be competitive.

I don't think anyone is under the impression that Auburn/Newton can be shut down and held to like 7 points or anything.

But if you are forced to spread it around more, and in your words become less "explosive" and become only "competitve" doesn't it mean you become more beatable in the process? I think that is all people are saying.

Maybe you misunderstand the posts from LSU peeps. We only are worried about stopping Cam. The others are no worry especially on the passing side.
