Ole Miss Mascot Selection Results

I just got off the phone with my Mom in Mississippi.
She said they were discussing the poll results on the Memphis news.
Channel 5 said the results had been reviewed with more info coming in the future. AND..said the poll results were being taken only as a SUGGESTION... the Ole Miss administration makes the final decision.
Is this something new, Ole Miss fans?
WTF have a vote in the first place if the Chancellor decides what he wants.
What an absolute farce. I'm pissed I even voted.

The grey hotty toddy will win. they should have just said right after the poll that the winner was decided by voting and everyone voted for hotty toddy so that you guys atleast felt like you had a say

If we get Hotty Toddy, the whole campus will riot. I can take the bear or the shark, since they are just animal cartoon characters that don't really mean anything, plus they are mostly just there for the kids anyway. But Hotty Toddy is far more than that. He's not just a cartoon character, but is a stereotype that other schools see us as. Its the equivallent of Bama adopting a trailer trash redneck as their mascot, Florida adopting a guy who has jorts and a backwards hat on, or Tennessee and Arkansas adopting a Hillbilly as a mascot.

Are they really that stupid? Apparently so. Whenever they put Hotty Toddy guy on the Jumbotron, he was booed severely. They brought the image back the next game, and was booed by the whole stadium. And they actually though we'd vote for this guy if he wore a less flamboyant costume? This adminstration is full of tards.
