Geez I'm so out of the loop. Changing mascots is a no-win situation.

not that i am an ole miss fan but i go to ole miss and live in a ole miss fan hotbed.....i dont know a single ole miss fan who wanted a new mascot.....the whole vote thing started bc of the school paper saying last year if the students did not choose a mascot the admin would without their input.....which apparantly is happening anyways

A lot of people did. Just because they bought into all the "negative" impacts the Colonel image had on our school. There were a good bit that were for a new mascot image.

Its such a crock of shite on how manipulative they are being to the Ole Miss students and fans. They are trying to make us believe that this is what we want and that we have an actual choice in the matter. Its BS.

I have quite a few friends who go/went to Ole Miss and are still die hard LSU fans.
