A look at the history of the "rivalry." Bama is 3-1 in games where both teams are undefeated.

Saturday will mark the programs’ 36th meeting, the latest installment of a series that has been played all across the Southeast.

It will be only the fifth time both schools boast perfect records heading into the game.

This semi-traditional clash has ended eight times in shutouts.

Alabama and Florida have hogged the SEC Championship Game since its birth 18 years ago, and over its complete history, 12 national title squads have emerged from this matchup.

Eight of these battles so far have seen at least one Heisman Trophy-winning participant, and a couple of them saw two of these distinguished athletes suited up on opposite sidelines.

Saturday will be only the third time the game features the #1 team in the nation (incidentally also the third time in as many meetings).

Not biting.

But I never thought I would see a Heisman winner at Alabama in my lifetime.

What's to bite on, just stating a fact. I know you're from Alabama, so naturally you missed the point. I'm curious how they think "a couple" of matchups had two winners. If last year was Bama's first...

2008 and 2009 had two winners.

See I was okay with them including last year since he ended up winning it a few weeks later, but 2008's a bit of a stretch. In that case, do you count 2006 BCSNCG Tim Tebow and Troy Smith being two Heisman Winners going against each other? I think that's a stretch too.
