When was the last time a near average SEC player won the

Heisman?

It takes a very good player from the SEC to win, then go look at the history of Pac 10/Big 10 winners.

Dude, a near average player has NEVER won the Heisman, EVER. No plain ole "very good" players have won it. Only GREAT players have won it.

Heisman is a crappy award. It has been tarnished over the years. Manning deserved it much more than WOODSON

Ok I can agree with average players not winning it. But you can't honestly tell me that that Jason White was a great player. He was a product of having a great team.

When you compare his ability to that of every single other college football player's ability that year, he was great. I didn't say all the winners were "outstanding" or "elite", but they've all been "great", IMO.
