Alan Perry's glowing review of the status of UMMC 5 weeks ago. shite must've turned south fast.

What boggles my mind is they want to make fireable issue over ~$22M over a 6 year period when the Med Ctr had a $7B (B as in Billion) budget. That is like a .003% variance! So if that is the case and the State audited every member school that the IHL oversees and they had anything greater than .003% variance, would they fire every chancellor? What about a State wide audit? Would we impeach the Governor? If so we'd be voting on a new Governor and searching for a bunch of new chancellors.

Well, it's not even that any money was allegedly mis-spent. They are just saying that the contract paperwork was sloppy and that some contracts weren't presented to the IHL for approval until after the fact.
This whole thing was, and still is, a termination in search of a reason. Hopefully they do the right thing and reverse course.

The Associated Press is reporting that in return for a two-year contract (as opposed to the usual four-year deal), Jones would apologize to the College Board.

Wasn't even the apology for why jones denied the offer.
The offer also said that he would resign after the two years.

Another interesting thing I just found out today is UMMC gets like ~10% of its funding from the IHL yet they have 100% of oversight (the rest is generated via reimbursement of services). Starting to think this whole mess will ultimately cause significant changes in the roll & function of the IHL.

I blame that misspelling on my subconscious desire for carbohydrates or trying to text and drive (I know TA...I am a bad person...sorry)

You're a fricking imbecile. Name one thing that has not improved at Ole Miss during his tenure, besides your favorite traditions that in the grand scheme of things mean nothing.

You mean a cosmopolitan state capital with a thriving arts and social scene, Fortune 100 companies, a flagship state university, and international recognition?
Well, I love Oxford, but I really don't think you have anything to worry about on that one.
