Will need a hell of a lot more than Rodgers after this new a-hole Auburn's running backs bout to break off on us...

If you have any money available put it ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL on Auburn -4.5... Lock of the century...

While I know it isn't actually true, it felt like there were more Auburn fans out and about here last night than Ole Miss fans. Even the bartender at my local who is usually all Rebs all the time was not his usual shite-talking self.

While I'm a transplant, I have students that play on the team, and I really enjoy seeing them do well because they're good kids. Plus, it's way more fun to teach in the fall when your university is winning.

Mostly, I think all the "well, we're back to where we're supposed to be" thinking around here is BS. There is no reason that year-in, year-out that Ole Miss can't be an 8-10 win team and compete for Atlanta a lot of those years. If that isn't happening, something is wrong. It kind of reminds me of pre-Spurrier Florida where blowing a good season was just expected and largely excused because, "That's just the Gators!"

Screw that. I'm not saying that Ole Miss fans should expect to set up real estate in Atlanta, but it's not ridiculous to expect to be in the conversation every year. Hell, OM should have been there last year, and if you would have been, you would have kicked Florida's arse in a rematch. Florida's offense was done by then.

If you just recruit Mississippi well the talent is here to be really good. Also, there were several games this year that we lost that we shouldn't have. When you get enough of those, the it just snowballs. Hopefully, somebody somewhere will recognize that and make some changes.

Anyway, that's my take. Rebels are a proud fan base but with a fragile psyche, but despite what the rant says, the program here actually can be about as good as y'all expect it to be in August before the perennial heartbreaks occur.

This here is the problem. We know we have talent but that alone won't win games. It takes coaching and during the CHF tenure we have yet to see him make the necessary changes.

Haynes
Speaks
Jones
Gates
Connors
Hartsfield

And before you say "but, but, but they are only a 3.14* average", ask yourself who should be actively recruiting them? Or why other teams who average about the same recruiting *'s can field halfway decent Defenses? All while ours has been trending down since 2014.
