We have to get a guy with ties to AAU. It's the only way now. LSU is a 3 seed SEC team because the hired Johnny fricking Jones. He can recruit like mad, but can't coach shite. It's better than what we have.

Kids aren't gonna learn fundamentals. Unless you're Wisconsin or Virginia, the kids you get are just gonna dunk or shoot a 3. So don't worry about out coaching people, just get talent.
Coach Cal and Coach K are the only guys I can think of who recruits well and coaches well.

I agree, why should he be?
This program was a constant cellar-dweller and had the worst basketball history in SEC.
What has White done besides just being an alum? All he has done is make the NIT in a watered down CUSA.

We will. Bubble sucks arse this season. A&M losing helped us. I'm glad we will probably make it, but oh what could have been. This was a Sweet 16 or Elite Eight team at one point.

I'm not on the White train yet. I want someone with AAU ties, if that's him, go for it. But right now Todd fricking Abernathy could coach this team better.

One thing that pisses me off is the fact that we lose top recruits in the state. Often times we aren't even in the argument. I know we aren't gonna pull all these stars, but the state has talent, get some.

Rod Barnes took us to 3 NCAAs in 8 years.
Before him, Rob Evans took us to 2 NCAAs in 6 years.
I'm not saying those coaches are great by any stretch but let's not act like AK has done something amazing at OM. One frickin NCAA in 8 years (maybe 9) doesn't cut it. He gets a pass because of his overall record.
I appreciate what he's done but if he can't get us to the NCAAs, let's try the next guy. If he doens't work, move on. There's no reason to accept mediocrity even if you're destined for it.

I think Kennedy is an ok coach but I just want something new. I know Kennedy will be back anyway but next year looks like a rebuilding year with Jarvis and Snoop gone.

I know. We need to pour some money into it. We are lucky State hired Ray or they'd have Malik Newman and would run us out of the building. The new arena will help, but it seems like we aren't trying. I know that's not the case, but man it hurts.
Like I look at Mario Kegler, a 4* player from Jackson. You would think he'd have us and State in his top 5. Nope. I know we won't take kids from UK, but we have to start being in the conversation.
Donte Fitzpatrick and Terence Davis will help next year.
