The students clearing out at half every game is just fricking lame.

Who's going to buy the extra tickets? It's not like alumni / regular seats are selling out either for a game like Tulsa.

Give them away to schools, sell the tickets at a discount. Bottom line is that the students are too worried about the Grove or hitting up a party. Looks like total arse. The only sections of the stadium that I see clearing out at half every game is the student section.

So basically punish the students for doing the same thing as the alumni?

Put them back in the SEZ. They were perfectly fine there.

Why put them in the nicest part of the stadium when they'll just leave at half?

You punish them for being pussies and complaining that's it's too hot to watch a game - while wearing coats and ties.

I guess you haven't been listening to the things that Lane has been saying about that shite.

They didn't when in that part of the stadium. The school shite on the students by moving them to the absolute worst part of the stadium.

Having a full student section is good for the school and home football environment. Move them back and they'll stay..

So, it's too hot for 18 and 19 year olds, but somehow, it's not too hot for 30+?

I remember very clearly when the students were clearing out of the SEZ as well.

I have. Maybe you've been ignoring the fact that he's referring to our entire fan base and not singling out the students.

And I remember the rest of our fan base clearing out at halftime for shite games as well.

Do we give away their tickets too?

There are plenty of families that would bring their kids and have been priced out. Make it like the old North EZ bleachers... general admission and lower cost.

They were on the north corner of the stadium before they were moved to the south end zone.

I stayed for every game as a student in the SEZ, but I would never go to a September day game sitting in the north end zone. It is an oven.

Don’t blame the students for Weis getting shut out in the second half lol

The entire side of the stadium that was in the sun cleared out at halftime. You’re singling out the students for the faults of the entire fanbase.

Honestly I’m down with making student tickets free… and if they get a QR code scanned at the end of a game, for the season… tickets are free

Especially if they keep the student section in the hot box I agree they should just make student tickets free.

Wish we'd stop talking about attendance like it's an Ole Miss specific problem. If you want people to show up, don't schedule Tulsa.

Those bleachers suck, especially when it’s 92 degrees and sunny outside. It’s all metal out there, no concrete. Telling a drunk, dehydrated college student to sit on a metal baking sheet in the hot sun for four hours while we struggle against Tulsa isn’t exactly enticing.

I agree that students should get in free.
