Luke coming in and immediately throwing off his backfoot falling backwards with literally no one near him wasn't exactly inspiring.

Dart showed a lot of poise and awareness in the pocket. Saw him step up and avoid pressure all game long. That's a huge part of the game that's hard to teach.

I agree. I don't think benching Dart is going to help us find a qb. Just delay the inevitable.

Yeah Dart will win the job IMO. If what everyone says about Luke never pushing the ball down the field in practice is true, then Dart has to be the guy. Live with the mistakes and hope he grows through them in these early games. Check downs won’t win it against the better defenses we will see in the back half of the season. Only shot we have against bama, Arkansas, LSU, and even state is a true down field threat. One or more of those teams will shut down the run or the Oline will have a bad day and we will be forced to win in the air or at least survive a half in the air.

Dart clearly has the most upside, which we need to compete. We aren't Alabama or UGA and can win with more of a game manager - we need a Corral or Kelly type QB to compete in the SEC.

So we are doing the Michigan thing with the QB’s after all

Oh well. Let’s see how this goes

I don’t hate it to be honest. It’s a much better way than alternating them in the same game.

Just give them 2 (nearly) full games and let the tape speak for itself. Then be deliberate in naming QB1 and move on.

I’d rather do it this way than rotate series with each QB. I hate that model as it just kills any sort of flow for anyone to get into a rhythm

Agreed.

And now that Kiffin can claim the winningest regular season in the history of our program, he’s earned the right to do something like this in my opinion.

If....and obviously I mean IF...Dart is the guy, Luke going out and throwing for 300 and 2 TD's against an absolutely dogshit opponent will hurt us in the long run.

I'd rather see them face off against the same defense with the same gameplan. To hell with game flow....we should be able to easily handle both Troy and UCA even if we swapped QBs every single play.

It’s damn near possible to make an argument for whatever approach you prefer. I just hope whoever the dude is gets it done and we can all feel pretty good about it.

If we beat Vandy, Auburn and LSU there’s a good chance of this prediction being right. IF

He predicted us to win 8. We need to win 3 of our final 7 to get there.

This team is weird. I don’t think it’s top 10. But at the same time looking at the schedule I could see us winning all but Bama OR losing to LSU, A&M, Bama, Arky, and state.

I could see us winning anywhere from 1 to all of our remaining games. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle and we end up 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3. I still have no idea what to think.

I think we are lucky to be going up against a weak Auburn and LSU squad. Sure we could lose, but I’m much more concerned about aTm.
