I'm honestly fine with Bentley getting the bulk of carries. He's hungry and good. He outperformed Judkins with every carry last season.
I have no idea where some of y'all come up with these takes.

I agree with him as far as last season goes outside of a handful of carries. Judkins vastly underperformed compared to his freshman season. He showed a lot of hesitancy before hitting the line where as Bentley attacked and accelerated through before the defenders could close the gap.

Judkins was terrible to start the year but he had some great games down the stretch. We didn’t have a fall off at all when Bentley was in the game but so many games Bentley got banged up. The biggest loss with Judkins is he was very durable and could run the ball 30 times a game with. We don’t have a lot of depth at RB or someone that has proven to be an every down back like Judkins was.

An every down back should be almost guaranteed short yard gains. That didn't happen with Judkins last season. On short yardage situations, he almost always got stopped behind the LOS.

Yeah but let’s also remember our offensive line was not/is not world class or arguably even SEC class. Gotta empathize with Judkins frustration just a little there no? They need to show out this year. All eyes on them IMO. Some of these are good genuine guys but we can have all the star power you can get at skill positions, but trenches matter and we don’t have much to boast about there. RantingRebel can correct me if I am missing something. We are missing the elite LT. Is a healthy Micah Pettus elite?

We added Pounds at LT.
He’s massive and started at UNC this past season.
We also added 40% of Washington’s O-Line that was rated the best in the country last season.
Pounds and Kalepo on the left side should be solid. Pettus should be good to go in the fall.
Also have good depth with Gerquan Scott, Julius Buelow, Jeremy James, and Jayden Williams. Not to mention Brycen Sanders, Preston Cushman, and Eli Aker.

I am forgetting about some of the offseason pickups. Judkins could have def handled it better but yeah it’s hard to shake tackles when 2 guys are meeting you right when you get the ball. He also def was isnt the shape he was in the previous year to where shaking those 1 or 2 guys in the backfield or at the LOS was manageable.

Also any word on Parrish Jr?

Somehow our offensive line was only terrible at run blocking when Judkins was in then because Bentley didn’t have nearly as much of a problem.
As i said earlier, Judkins had a problem with hesitating before hitting the line whereas Bentley took off full speed like Dexter used to once he got the ball. You cannot hesitate if the offense line is subpar at run blocking. You have to either take what you are given or make something else happen immediately.

I blame Bianco for this.

People want to pretend Judkins was trash and Bentley is a better version of him, but Bentley is not built to run inside like Judkins. Hopefully the transfer from LSU is.
Also, Taamu just led an awesome comeback for DC Defenders.

Transfer from LSU likely won’t ever see the field

I saw Logan Diggs on the sideline of the grove bowl and he was at least walking ok. I haven’t heard anything positive about him playing this year.

Torn ACL takes 6 months minimum to even start cutting again. Thought it was a terrible pick up back when it was announced. I guess we don’t do medical checks on players we sign. Even players with known injuries.

Ugh, didn’t know about the ACL.
