"Chode" isn't an actual word. Please use a proper insult like dumbass. And I wasn't talking down to him.

It's not an opinion when it's a fact. Our offensive line doesn't allow us to give him 3-5 step drops. And I'll take a college football coach's opinion over his

Totally agree. Go about 25% of the time under center even outside goal-line. Let the big uglies fire off and pound the rock every so often and on the goal-line to keep Defenses off balance. Then hit a PA vertical pass up the seam or boundary after the D starts biting.

Houston Nutt was a big fan of merging the 2 in 2010 and 2011.

We've had 2 games out of 5 where we've scored less than 40 points.

I think if you are using bubble screens because the defense is too tight. You might want to take a shot at the pass downfield in order to loosen the defense up.

If you Want to keep the linebackers from shooting the run gaps, run some crossing routes or the TE drag route.

Hugh Freeze isn't playing with the same talent level as Bama, but what he has been able to do is out scheme Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

You can point out all the negatives about the offensive scheme that you want, but it still allows you to be competitive with lesser talent.

Let's see what happens if Tunsil comes back and this offensive line can spend the next 6 weeks to get their act together before a rematch in Atlanta against Florida.

Yes, I'm not on board with the play calling all the time either, but we are scoring more points than ever.

I am still concerned with the defense and it's bend but don't break mentality. It works when we are scoring, but in tight games and games we aren't using clock or scoring it gives away too much momentum.

Ole Miss will be fine, Hugh Freeze will be fine. It hasn't been this good in 45 years, don't get too impatient.

I was about to play devil's advocate and say LSU might not light up the stat sheet, but we have the most NFL receivers of any college.

On the flip side it's a bitch that 90% of high school programs run some form of the spread, meaning LSU's quarterbacks have a much larger learning gap than say Kyle Allen being plugged into the aggie offense.

This not directed at anyone.... But really... Considering what Hugh has done since he has been here and where we are now in the scheme of college football.... I really think many need to quit thinking too much. (Including Jim Kelly!) Seriously.

I'm not saying that Freeze is beyond reproach.... But you sure can't argue with success at EVERY level. Guys... He is doing a lot more right than most could ever dream of. That's the bottom line.

All we need is an offensive line coach who knows what he's doing and a couple more offensive linemen and I think we'll be alright.

Matt Luke is one of the biggest problems with our offensive line. Our depth there is not as dire and horrible as some would like to suggest.

That's debatable. Especially at tackle.

Not making excuses, but before the season, we all agreed that OL was the one position group where we could not afford any injuries, and lo and behold, that's exactly what happened. Especially coupled with the LT suspension.

I agree. Our oline recruiting sticks out because we are recruiting other positions so well, but we have as much talent there as a lot of other teams that look a lot better at blocking.

I've mentioned this before, the OL recruiting hasn't been horrible. The starting rotation this week could be 5 star and #1 OT Tunsil, 5 star #1 guard Javon Patterson, 3 star Robert Conyers, 5 star #1 guard Rod Taylor, and 3 star senior Cooper. That isn't a bad starting lineup. The problem in the recruiting has been the 2nd tier guys...Still, Bouldin, Johnson have all been bust. It appears even that trend is changing. Sims and Rawlings have been nice players. I expect the same from Givens and Howard down the line.

Like I've said I wish we could recruit LB half as well as OL.

Yeah LB recruiting has been atrocious. We have lost on Jaylen Reeves Maybin, Nyles Morgan, Leo Lewis, and I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting. Doesn't appear it will be solved this year in recruiting either. Only "win" we've had there is Gates who was injured his senior year.

Let's see what the o-line can do with Tunsil in the line-up.

Obviously, it should be better.

It's tough to judge your o-line coach when he doesn't have his all-american LT playing in the first 6 games and has to shuffle the starting line up due to the injuries.

Oh, and the offense other than the Florida game, has been better this year than the previous three.

The Florida defense played to our weakness and attacked to make shift o-line. We were unprepared offensively, not having any quit crossing routes and middle screens to slow the onslaught. Scheming is important, and we were out schemed in that game. The turnovers hurt and allowed Florida to maintain momentum.

Get Tunsil back and win out and we may all be singing the praises of how Luke was able to keep this o-line serviceable in a bad situation.

Of course, how many thought we would be 5-1 without Tunsil?
