What's it gonna take to get it done?

We're 33-12 and 12-9.

We've got 3 Conference series and 2 OOC games left: UAPB and Arky State.

We go 2-1 in each series, and win both the midweek games. That would make us 41-15 and 18-12. Do that, and we Host.

What are the chances? Any scenario below what I described above get us there?

I think we could probably go 1-2 against A&M and host. Unless the committee is just looking to leave out an SEC team

Need to get to 40 wins, imo

They'll be looking to leave us out of the national seeds but probably not hosting.

The D1 baseball guy seems to think we are in drivers seat to host already. If we can finish 40+ wins and 18-12 in conference then we get there.

He said that this past weekend was huge and flipped us with LSU from hosting/not hosting

3 Steps

1) Sweep Kentucky
2) 2-1 Against UGA
3) 1-2 vs. A&M

Makes us 39-15 and 18-12 with one of the toughest schedules in the country. Would be idiotic not let us host at that point

This year is so crazy. Any other year 17 conference wins would be enough to host. This year we would get left out because 6 and especially not 7 SEC teams are hosting.

You have to think that these are locks to host:

USCe
UF
A&M
State

Then you have us, Vandy and LSU all with a chance to host. We could get screwed out of a host spot if they decide to give it to Vandy. Orif LSU finishes strong and makes a run in Hoover.

You're forgetting two midweek games

I want State and Ole Miss to be the paired Nat'l seed and host. A State/OM super regional to go to Omaha would be madness.

I kinda wanted that in 2014 when OM had the better team. Not so much this year.

I'm pretty sure the NCAA will do everything to make sure 2 SEC teams aren't matched up. With that being said, a perfect scenario (for State and Ole Miss) would be to get a Nat'l seed and be paired with Southern Miss.

I don't know how that would work in Oxford. Any State fans in RF would be heckled until they did something about it or left. LF would either be the best cooking outfield ever at a baseball game or 27 innings of Elite Dawgs vs the Spirit type of arguments. Might be worth researching for scientific evidence.

The fights would be glorious.

I want Miami. Don't care if we have to go there. That's a score to settle. That one still hurts. I'm talking: 4th and 25 hurt.

If Southern Miss hosts the d1baseball guys feel like LSU will be sent there ... Hattiesburg gets paired with Starkville in the bracket and the Tigers and Bulldogs win those regionals...

Standing room only at the Dude 2.5 hours before first pitch as one of the best rivalries in college baseball is renewed to see who gets to Omaha.

I'm a huge Ole Miss homer but even I can say that's order restored.
