Freeze has has to call Mike Leach and ask him for pointers on a 70% passing team/30% running.

Experience doesn't always mean they're good forever. Football has changed drastically over the past five years, much less 37. The game can pass you by sometimes, ex: Spurrier. I'm not calling for Wommack's head just yet, but this is something to consider.

If you have great coaches, you have to fight to keep them every year. How many of our coaches have left or did we have to fight to keep? McGriff is the only one I can think of. We have the funds and could really use a dedicated OC and defensive help. Saban has a massive ego, but knows his weaknesses and hires people to negate them when needed, like Sark and Kiffin.

I have a fear that our family atmosphere will eventually hurt us when chnage is needed and Ross will personally have to run people out as Hugh won't have the heart to.

Or we just have guys who aren't looking to leave and enjoy where they are. And just because you don't hear it on tv that these guys are wanted, doesn't mean people aren't asking.

Guys not leaving is a good thing in recruiting.

The thing that concerns me the most is not being able to run the ball early in the second half, especially coming off of a first half lead.

Because our running game is so abysmal, and also because Chad Kelly isn't immune to throwing interceptions, no lead is ever safe (unless we are like 30 points ahead).

Look at the FSU game. They have a good opening drive in the sIecond half, then pick Chad off, and within minutes of the start of the second half, the ball game is close again. I know that we played a terrible second half that game, but it shouldn't have gotten out of hand that quickly.

I'm not claiming to be a coach or know every single in-and-out of football, but it's pretty simple to understand that running the football is key to any offense.

First off, our OL needs to understand that there is a difference between run blocking and pass blocking. Secondly, our RBs need to stop the stutter-stepping and hit the line at full speed.

So serious question: for years we said we didn't have the talent on the OL to have a valid rushing attack. Now we have the talent and still aren't looking dominant on the OL. What is the cause of this? Is it the scheme we are running or what?

Losing 2 of our top 3 rb's before the halftime of the first game has some bearing on the situation

I understand that but Judd is definitely an SEC caliber back. Am I saying he is a future Heisman Trophy winner no, but has has the size, speed and agility to be good. There just seems like for every 10 yard gain there are 2 to 3 tackles at, or behind, the LOS.

Only because he HAS to be. I love the guy and would love nothing more than for him to prove me wrong, but there are probably 15 backs across the league that I would rather have back there right now.

After watching the game again. I would agree with this. The timing and field position when the turnovers occurred made it very difficult to overcome. The added momentum for FSU was enough to give them the edge.

But....
it was by far the worst game I have seen Bridges play. He appeared to be scared to death to get beat. He was so off and out of position, several times he turned completely around when receivers made their cuts. It was very ugly, makes you wonder if our coach knows what the hell he is doing. He seemed to play much better against Wofford.

I wonder if we see any of Pennamon on Saturday. I saw they threw him in at the very, very end of Wofford.
