To add to everything else it’s a bitch to park anywhere now. After all these years we still haven’t figured traffic or parking. It’s infuriating.

Love how they nonchalantly dropped JAC parking like a week before the opener lol. Absolutely no reason to do so either

Right. They knew they were doing that for a while and waited until everyone’s arrangements were made to come

What a bitch move by the administration . To make it parking permit only

Another reason why people don’t come, they’re nickel and dimed at every
turn

All other places I saw, against the same level opponent, had most of their stadiums full.

Look at all these empty seats at Davis Wade.

Look at all these empty seats at War Memorial Stadium

Look at all these empty seats at Kyle Field.

Look at all of these empty seats at Commonwealth Stadium (go to the 3:15 mark).

I don't understand shaming people over not going to these junk games.

Sure get mad if you don't fill the stadium if you are 3-0 and hosting your SEC opener.

Watching these games against SELA/Mercer/etc. aren't even fun.

You either get insane meltdowns from the fanbase when you are not up 21-0 immediately or you just blow them out and it's a snooze fest 10 minutes in.

OP is ignoring why people aren’t attending the games. It’s not their fault the schools have abandoned the common fan. $12 beers, outrageous parking fees, and shitty opponents. That’s even before you consider how expensive a hotel or AirBNB is. Why the hell would people go?

Getting in and out of the games are a major headache. I remember back in 2003 being able to drive up to the stadium and parking in the large lot down the hill on the south side of the stadium (I think it was like $8 for parking?).

I get it - costs for the Universities have skyrocketed since that time, but when things are so much harder for fans to attend the game, and the Universities don't work on making it easier, then folks are gonna stay at home to watch the games.

Add to the fact that they have now shortened the actual game itself (so they can inject more commercials), and it devalues the cost of the tickets to attend.

Damn. The NFL averages $9.56 per pint. Price of beer for Jets game is $5.00. And the games are intolerable long and boring w/ so many commercial breaks.

Well I hope you're not too upset, because college football is quickly becoming the NFL.

A $12 beer? Is this some special beer? Does it give you super human strength or increased virility or something? Well, I suppose it sort of does, just hopefully not at the game. But Lord Jesus! No way the school has to pay anywhere remotely near that to purchase the beer. Talk about gouging.

How much did the beers cost at this weekend's game?

What about a coke or hot dog?

I paid $15 for a 24 ounce beer which is like $2.99 or something to that effect at a gas station. It’s bullshite. Then the guy opening the beer for me somehow fricked that up and foam went everywhere didn’t get a new one of course

I drank in the Grove and then again in the MClub room. By the time I got to the stadium, I bought $100 worth of beer at the concessions. I had no idea until I got home and checked my account. Lol

I could have sworn the big Budweisers were only $10 last year but my memory could be wrong for obvious reasons
