I read Kiffin signed an 8 year contract.

I thought the max allowed under state law was 4?

Evidentially it is being run through the private foundation.

Biggest dog and pony I seen in many moons.

Signed the damn thing and let’s go get some transfers.

I get so sick of hearing about the 4 year thing

Kiffin himself said he’s signed a new contract every year anyway

It’s irrelevant since they give him a new one year after year

Oh okay, so I guess they maxed out the 4 years through the state and then ran the additional 4 through OMAF.

Is there a single person on this planet who thinks LK will stay here 8 more years ?

That is ultimate fantasy land

Well you can be sick of hearing about it. But it is a real thing.

I’m glad they found a work around. I don’t think most schools can truly expect a coach to be around for 8 years. That’s such the minority. But you still have to plan for it.

Holding off Auburn is a big deal and shows a lot about our program no matter what anyone else says.

Next scare may be Florida if Napier doesn’t work out for them in a couple years. Haha.

A&M has always been my biggest fear but now that I see what we will pay for a coach I just want someone who wants to be there and builds the program.

I’m hearing 6 years and $9mill per year.

They’re getting around the state law with 2 year contract via the foundation. Luke had the same deal.

Florida never considered Kiffin. For better or worse, Florida never seriously considered anyone but Napier. I believe LSU was the greater worry last year.

Glad Kiffin is staying. I think he's somewhat unorthodox in how he runs a program in a way that wouldn't work well at a lot of programs but is perfect for Ole Miss. He just fits the vibe around here in a good way.

If he can ever build some depth on the roster, I think he'll eventually win the west at least once.

Has he actually signed the contract?

Yeah I was just wondering that. All of the wording I have found is “he is going to sign to remain with Ole Miss”.

I would be way more comfortable if that was past tense. What’s the delay if he hasn’t?

Yeah, I won’t believe it until it’s signed and Auburn still looking makes me nervous that they are still negotiating.

What the frick?

Yeah with the Freeze thing falling through for them I wouldn’t be shocked if Cohen went back with more money.

Nothing on there but he’s still going off on the reporter that said he was stepping down Friday.
