Hope springs eternal. Hope is a good thing; maybe the best of things.

Only things I want to hear about baseball:

1) CMB hires a pitching coach so we don’t have a zillion arm issues and have something other than RHP that don’t throw the same exact pitches.
2) Who we are getting in the portal that can either hit or throw left handed
3) If the incoming freshman class is going to get draft gutted.

Not shocked honestly. I wish him the best but I remember the rumors about him transferring before the end of 2022.

Is Chatagnier out of eligibility?

This is the best for all involved with TJ. He can't hit SEC pitching. Let him go to some lower level school and have fun.

Looks like we will need to replace 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, C, RF, CF, and LF next year for position players. We need 2-3 reliable starting pitchers from the portal and 2-3 bullpen guys as well.

You've got your work cut out for you Bianco. Hope the portal works out this year.

^^^, Damn that's downright funny. I just don't know that our current coach can pull that off.

Chat has entered the portal. He’s been here for 4 years. Wild that he was never able to progress. Best of luck to him.

Bianco has a lot to fill in the off-season.

It’s weird to say but it wouldn’t surprise me if Bianco is cleaning house

I have to add though, he’s been excellent defensively. He’s owed that recognition.

TJ and Peyton will both transfer to weaker conferences and clean them up. Don't be surprised if their stats are really really good wherever they land. They just can't hit SEC pitching.

Obviously a double edge sword, but it's so weird that players can just transfer out now. Especially to a SEC foe and have immediate playing time.

I could have sworn the SEC had a rule about having to sit out a year if you transferred within the conference. If he’s a grad transfer then that may not apply

That rule went by the wayside years ago.

There was a player who played for Georgia against Bama in the national championship game in January 2018 and then suited up for the Tide against the Dawgs in the SEC Championship Game in December 2018.

Eli Ricks played for LSU against Bama in 2021 and then played in Tiger Stadium for the Tide against the Tigers last November.

Here he is tackling Devonta Smith in 2020, which was probably the only time Smith was tackled that night.

Here he is tackling Nabers in Tiger Stadium last November.

All of this is to say I fricking hate the new transfer rules for college athletics.
