We’re back to being the sacrificial lamb for Bama’s first conference game? I thought we took that hit for like 5 years… how does the scheduling work in that sense? Sucks having to open conference play with Saban/Tide. Also looking at that Tulane game after they just beat USCw with a Heisman winner. Got UGA in the rotation this year; gotta get tix for that one.

I’d rather get Bama early rather than late especially in a year where they’ll be breaking in a new QB.

If we don’t start getting some defensive depth it may be Birmingham bowl type season at best

We may very well be better than last year, but our record certainly won't show it.

We’re swapping UK at home for Georgia on the road and Tulsa for @ Tulane. Much tougher schedule.

Three NY6 bowl winners (should be 3 unless UGA chokes tonight), all three on the road.

I'll take 8-4 right now. We would have gone 6-6 if we had that schedule this year. We are in trouble if we lose to Tulane. I think AU and A&M will be much improved.

It's hard not to improve considering how bad they were in 2022.

I wonder what State is going to do offensively? They have air raid personnel. Even if that's not what Arnett wants to be their offensive identity, they can't make a wholesale change and expect anything good out of if. They return a lot of experience, like us.

Their defense will help win them games. But if Arnett's plan is to move away from the Air Raid, they're likely going to have problems.

No idea who we are going to hire. The current rumor seems to be the OC for Duke.

Arnett is the only undefeated head coach in the SEC so if that trend continues....

How are you gonna start this thread and not even post the fricking schedule?

SEP 02 Mercer
SEP 09 @ Tulane
SEP 16 Georgia Tech
SEP 23 @ Alabama
SEP 30 LSU
OCT 07 Arkansas

OCT 14 BYE
OCT 21 @ Auburn
OCT 28 Vanderbilt
NOV 04 Texas A&M

NOV 11 @ Georgia
NOV 18 ULM
NOV 23 @ Mississippi State

I’ve got to be honest. With how we ended the year and pretty much zero meaningfully positive staff changes, 6-6 feels like the ceiling for next year’s team. 4-8 wouldn’t shock me. We are unlikely to win any of our road games. Especially if Kiffin starts to job-shop in late October again.

We signed Kiffin to six years at 9M. Seems like his buyout would be 54M this year, decreasing 9m each year. For some reason articles don't mention the buyout. I would think 54m plus your old coache's buyout plus a new K for Kiffin would be pretty damn expensive.

My way to early and subject to change predictions:

SEP 02 Mercer - W
SEP 09 @ Tulane - W
SEP 16 Georgia Tech - W
SEP 23 @ Alabama - W
SEP 30 LSU - L
OCT 07 Arkansas - W
OCT 14 BYE
OCT 21 @ Auburn - L
OCT 28 Vanderbilt - W
NOV 04 Texas A&M - L
NOV 11 @ Georgia - L
NOV 18 ULM - W
NOV 23 @ Mississippi State - W

8-4 with an upset win over Bama only to lose to LSU the next week.

Nah. We will beat them both and lose to Arkansas after being decimated by injuries. Just cause
