There is no more, no less going on at Ole Miss that isn't happening at other schools.

There are athletes driving cars that don't belong to them. Even old beat up Mustangs.

Coaches make mistakes and give meals when they shouldn't, lodging to the wrong person during visits. It happens every year on some campus. Most of the time it's self reported and you hear very little about it.

This is 3 years of investigation, there is no evidence of any big pay out to get Tunsil on campus or to keep him on campus. If he were getting paid big money, he wouldn't need to have $350 for the light bill he didn't budget for in the cost of his apartment.

Both the coaches who were involved with the meals, lodging and unauthorized contact are under suspension.

The coaches who were responsible for the ACT scandal are no longer with the school.

There were be reductions in visits, coaching/teaching for the coaches to know who is to receive room or board and when.

Additional staffing has been added to assist the coaches.

And the scholarships will be reduced over the next 3-4 years.

Unless some coach leaves in the next few weeks, there is an explanation for Tunsil's text request $350 dollars.

All these penalties were worked out while the investigators were on campus.

The attorneys have earned their money, and unless someone is hiding something really big, state fans are just grasping at straws. Because they are scared of the future.

Besides, isn't it ironic that the only school in this state, we know of. that was interested in paying for a player, was state. They did inquire about what it would take to get Cam on board.

State should be scared and the establishment teams in the SEC should be scared. It has scared Georgia so badly, they changed coaches, SC got rid of the ol'ball coach. Les was saved by the fans for a year and if Saban drops another to the Rebels, he could find his seat getting very warm.

When I saw someone post this elsewhere I thought it was from the Spirit board.

Nick Saban could go 8-4, 9-3, every year, lose to Ole Miss for 10 straight years, never go to Atlanta again, and coach there until he fell over dead, and they'd still build a statue to him.

just keep hearing how he's been right all along, etc. etc. etc.

Those guys -- including Coach34 -- throw all sorts of random, vague things like "I'm hearing" and "my sources are leading me to believe" and then whatever happens, they come out and beat their chests and say how they were right all along.

Seriously, I think it was CBS Sports that reported that OM football was under investigation in the fall of 2013. And Coach34 was like: "My sources are telling me there's an ongoing investigation, and they keep digging up more and more stuff." Then, he spends 2 years listing all the things that he's hearing the NCAA had on us. And when the NOA comes out, there Not. One. Single. Thing. that he predicted would be in there.

So all he does is beat his chest and say: I told you there's been a 3-year investigation!!!!!

Like, no shite, dumbass. We all read about that on cbssports.com like 2 years ago.

It's pathetic.

Exactly. Again they have stated over and over how he/they know FOR A FACT that the 2013 class was around 1.5 Mill. So they know for a fact that's the case and all the NCAA can come up with after 3 years is like 15K worth of stuff?

Yeah. It's really curious how all these big money payments were made in 2013. Hundreds of thousands. And suddenly the big scandal is a text message about a $300 light bill for someone's mother in 2015. Talk about a come down to reality.

Just playing devil's advocate, but I believe Rosebowl was the first to say that most of the football violations were from the Freeze era.

no, if Saban goes 8-4 back to back he will be old, out of touch and the game will have passed him by. Gone.

If nothing else, I hope this stings a little for Hugh Freeze, just enough to not take the foot off the gas.

I like the first team to 70, winning philosophy.

If he goes into this season with a chip on his shoulder, surrounded by a team ready to defend their honor, it could get them off to a very good start.

What's the old saying? Let sleeping bears lie.

Roseblow said the serious allegations were from the Freeze era.

And he said it before the Tunsil stepdad fight.

He was incorrect.

Glad we got a QB but he is a project. Actually reminds me of the tape of HS Dak so that is potentially promising.
