you just got to Key West and now you're already planning your next move?

I'll move back to MS next.

Eh it won't be any time soon. I just know I can't live here forever.

I actually prefer Nashville to Atlanta...but just bought a house in Atlanta.

Chattanooga is a bit too small. Nice to visit though.

I'm assuming you're not in Midtown.

The inside of Atlanta I wouldn't disagree with, but I wouldn't mind the suburbs I don't think.

I've never lived there though, so I'm sure you know it better than I.

Wouldn't be able to afford a house in Midtown. Bought a place in Grant Park.

No kidding. Is Grant Park part of O4W?

Congrats on the new house.

No...close though. Ever been to the zoo? That's Grant Park.

Not a big fan of big cities, but I love everything about Nashville sans the winters. Chattanooga reminds me a bit of Charleston. I only lived on the Peninsula for a year after college but loved it. Had to leave because there were no vets that would do my dog's surgery there.

The deep suburbs (hour or so out) are great places for families. No crime, good school system, and the youth sports instruction and competition levels are top notch. I wouldn't live there without kids and/or under 35 though.

I love Nashville, and it is one of my favorite cities, but it is not near being considered a big city.

That being said, if I had to pick a place in the south to live, it would be Nashville. I have heard amazing things about Charleston though.

If a place has at least two major professional spots teams, I consider it a big city. Why would you want to live anywhere but the South anyway? The cold is bullshite.

We have differing criteria for what constitutes a big city then. I live in CA right now and frankly I much prefer the weather in Nashville. Nashville is also way more fun than where I live. But if I had to pick a city in the US to live in, it would be Miami.

Then you aren't going to the nice parts of Miami.

You really don't know a city until you've been in the underbelly

Every city has a filthy underbelly though. The underbelly of Miami is also quite easy to avoid.

I grew up just outside of Atlanta. Between ATL and Athens. Loved it. Plan on moving back that way, but a little further out from the city. Preferably north Georgia near the mountains. Like Woodstock or Canton (near Marietta).

Also think Nashville is on top of the list, too in terms of a great place to live and raise a family.

I like Knoxville a lot too, right near the Smokies. Plenty of lakes and hiking.

Chattanooga is alright. Enjoyed vacationing there a couple days. Can't compete with ATL or Nashville though.

I've also enjoyed Miami, nothing like South Beach. Amiright? If I were to set roots in Florida, it'd probably be Jacksonville.

Only been to Key West once, for like 4 hours on a cruise excursion. Seems nice. To me though, more of a young partying place or to retire. Don't know about raising kids there.
