Ole Miss closed out spring practices with its annual Grove Bowl game Saturday afternoon. White was among the recruits in attendance, making the trip over from Louisiana with five-star QB and Rebel commitment Shea Patterson and four-star cornerback Shyheim Carter.
White said Ole Miss has other factors playing in its favor. The Rebels could offer immediate playing time at linebacker, and the 6-foot-2, 260-pound White, the No. 3 inside linebacker in the country according to Scout.com, has a good relationship with Freeze and defensive coordinator Dave Wommack.
“Coach Freeze and coach Wommack, we talk a lot,” he said. “Most of the time it’s not about football, it’s about things going on around here and how to be a better man. It’s beyond football, and that’s what makes it so great.”
LSU is home. I go there, I should feel at home. If I don’t, something’s wrong. I just go there and keep trying to build a relationship.”
